JEFFERSON, Wis. --
A Lake Mills father is accused of throwing his infant son
against a wall and causing his death.
Michael Wey, 30, is charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of
4-month-old Nikolai Andrew Wey, who was taken off life support at
Children's Hospital in Madison on Aug. 21. A Milwaukee County medical
examiner determined the baby died of a skull fracture and other head
injuries.Wey was initially charged with physical child abuse
after the child suffered the injuries on Aug. 14. Prosecutors said Wey
threw his son so hard he left cracks in the wall.A criminal
complaint was amended on Wednesday, charging Wey with homicide. A
conviction carries a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison. He remains
in the Jefferson County Jail on $50,000 cash bond.
Prosecutors want the bond raised to $150,000.
A judge is expected to rule on that next week.

JEFFERSON, Wis. -- A Lake Mills father accused of killing his 4-month-old son by hurling the boy against a wall has changed his plea to guilty.Michael
F. Wey, 30, originally pleaded not guilty to first-degree reckless
homicide in the death of Nikolai Andrew Wey last summer.

He reversed his plea Thursday.Prosecutors
said Wey became frustrated with the boy's crying and threw him against
a wall hard enough to leave cracks in the wall. A medical examiner said
Nikolai died from skull fractures and other head injuries.A message left Saturday with Wey's attorney was not immediately returned.Wey
faces a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison when he is sentenced
March 30. The Daily Jefferson County Union reported that Wey remains
jailed on $150,000 cash bond.
