"Baby Jane" FORSYTH-SMITH - 10 months - Fort Myers FL
Excerpt:
Fort Myers FL ---- An 18-year-old South Fort Myers man arrested on burglary and pot
possession charges is under investigation for child abuse, accused of
swinging his young daughter’s head into a wall.
Jarrett Wells Forsyth, who lists addresses in the 11000 block of Isle
of Palms Drive, Fort Myers Beach and the 7200 block of Bucknell Drive,
Fort Myers, remained Monday in Lee County Jail pending posting of
$11,500 in bonds.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports:
At 1:22 p.m. Sunday, Forsyth became enraged because of text messages
on the cell phone of Krista Caitlin Smith, 20. He grabbed their
10-month-old daughter and went to the front door in a rage. Timothy J.
Smith, 50, Krista’s father, of the 16000 block of Wisteria Drive,
stopped Forsyth, but during the argument Forsyth swung the baby, hitting
her head on a wall. The baby “was visibly disoriented and acting
strange.”
