A 32-year-old man arrested in Sandusky after a nationwide Amber Alert is
awaiting extradition to Tennessee.

14-year-old daughter from Unicoi County, Tennessee, on Wednesday. He is
charged with custodial interference and two counts of contributing to
the delinquency of a minor, both felonies. He was arrested about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday when
police stopped a car on Dawson Street.Sanilac County Sheriff Garry Biniecki said the

abductions.The
children later were found unharmed in Lansing, where police said Kenny
left them.Biniecki

Two missing Tennessee teenagers were found Wednesday at a Madison
Township residence, police said.
An Amber Alert was issued in Tennessee on Wednesday when Sarah Jordan
Harris, 14, and Daniel Vanderlann, 15, were absent from school in
Unicoi County on the Tennessee-North Carolina border. They were last
seen with 32-year-old Jason James Kenny.
Sgt. Michelle Stuck at the Michigan State Police post in Adrian said
troopers were dispatched to a house on Naomi Avenue where the teenagers
were found. Kenny was not there.
Police took the girl to the Maurice Spear Campus, Stuck said. The
Johnson City, Tenn., Press reported the Unicoi County Sheriff’s
Department was going to pick her up. The boy has relatives in Michigan,
and his parents are expected to work through the court system here to
regain custody, the newspaper reported.
According to the Times-Herald of Port Huron, Kenny was arrested in
Sandusky late Wednesday night after he was found lying on the back seat
of a car during a traffic stop. He is charged with custodial
interference and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a
minor. The charges are felonies.
The women with him in the car are expected to be charged with
harboring a felon/fugitive and possibly being accessories to the
abductions, the Times-Herald reported.
The Times-Herald reported that Kenny is the teenagers’ father, but
the Johnson City Press said Vanderlann’s parents live in Michigan.
According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Kenny is on
parole from an involuntary homicide conviction in 1999 in Sanilac
County. He was released from prison last April and was to be discharged
from supervision in April 2011. He was sentenced to up to 15 years in
prison on the involuntary homicide charge.
