MATTHEW J GORALKA - 17 yo - Chicago/Belmont Area IL

A 17-year-old who left his residence on Tuesday night after a fight with
his parents has been reported missing and endangered.



Matthew J. Goralka was recently discharged from Children's Memorial
Hospital for a blood clot in his right forearm. He was given blood
thinners making him susceptible to uncontrolled bleeding if injured.

"Matt" left his residence on April 13, 2010 after an argument with his
parents. He is a student at Walter Payton High School and did not attend
school on April 14, 2010. He is currently on anti-depressant
medication.

He is described as a 17-year-old white male, 5 feet, 9 inches, 135
pounds, with hazel eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion with freckles.

Chicago police say they are searching for a 17-year-old male who has
gone missing.
According to authorities, Matthew J. Goralka, also called Matt, left
his residence Tuesday night, April 13, after an argument with his
parents. Police say Goralka is a student at Walter Payton High
School. He reportedly did not attend school Wednesday. The teen
was recently discharged from Children's Memorial Hospital for a blood
clot in his right forearm and was given blood thinners making him
susceptible to uncontrolled bleeding if injured.
According to police, Goralka is currently on anti-depressant medication. He
is described as white male, 5 ft. 9 inches, 135 lbs. with hazel eyes,
brown hair and a fair complexion and freckles. Anyone with
information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Chicago police Area 3

"After contacting Area 3, the missing has been located and he is with family."


Alerting the public to the disappearance of Matthew Goralka, police sought any information possible to recover the 17-year-old student from Walter Payton College Prep who left his Lincoln Park home Tuesday following treatment at Children's Memorial Hospital

"Matt" Goralka left during a disagreement with his parents, who contacted police due to the sensitivity to medical danger after blood thinning treatments aimed to combat a blood clot in Goralka's right arm.

Lincoln Park Now did not ask any further questions regarding the incident to preserve the Goralka family's privacy.

A future Huskie, Goralka is a celebrated local athlete signed to Northern Illinois University's tennis team to begin this forthcoming fall 2010 semester.
