TABITHA TUDERS - 13 yo (2003) - Nashville TN
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- During the summer of 2009, the parents of missing teenager Tabitha Tuders said the biggest lead in the case surfaced. The
family is calling it the best hope that their daughter is still alive
after the 13-year-old girl disappeared seven years ago on her way to
her school bus stop in east Nashville.Tabitha's parents have pictures of a girl they think may be her, who is working for an escort service in Las Vegas.
Investigators say the woman is not Tabitha, but the Tuders family isn't satisfied and said there are too many similarities. One
of the many theories surrounding Tabitha's disappearance was that she
was kidnapped and then sold into the underground sex trade. The
family saw a picture of a woman named Brie on the Web site of a Las
Vegas-based adult business. If she is still alive, Tabitha would be 20
years old.The family said the girl named Brie has a similar birth mark to their missing daughter. Also, there is the double-jointed thumb, a Tuders family trait, along with similar looking teeth.Using a morph program, the Tuders said Brie and Tabitha’s faces are also very similar."She
resembles my daughter a whole lot. We laid a picture of this girl and
everything matches up," said Tabitha's father Bo Tuders. There is also a tattoo on Brie's back that they think might be a cry for help."(The tattoo) says TASOS. We don't know if that means, 'Come help me' or what. We don't know what that means," said Bo Tuders.Another possible clue is that Tabitha's Social Security number was used once in Las Vegas after her 2003 disappearance.
Also, the Tuders said that Brie is the name of Tabitha's favorite cousin, so they said this could also be a connection."To
me, that's the closest we've been. Everything this young lady fits
Tabitha. It would make you think it is Tabitha. We want to prove it's
her or not her," said Bo Tuders. The Tuders traveled to Las Vegas and tried to find the woman who works at the Las Vegas escorts but failed.Eventually,
the FBI said they found Brie, also known as Tori Lane, in Florida,
interviewed her and took a DNA sample. However, investigators ruled
Brie out as being Tabitha.Despite this, the Tuders said they still would like to meet her anyway because they are not satisfied. After
the FBI went to Las Vegas to investigate the case, investigators said
within 72 hours Brie/Tori Lane's picture was taken off the adult
business's Web site.

New clues have Tabitha Tuders' family hopeful

Reported by Dennis Ferrier
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
After eight years, a new lead is giving Tabitha Tuders' family hope that they might see her alive again.
After receiving an anonymous letter from California that claims to know Tabitha's whereabouts, her family wants to meet a former Las Vegas escort who goes by the name Brie, and also goes by the name Tori, and also by the name Lisa Piasecki. All are fake names, but the question then is whether her real name is Tabitha Tuders.
"Is it Tabitha or not, we don't know," father Bo Tuders said.
So why does this anonymous letter hold such promise for the Tuders? Last year, child advocate Kathy Johnston discovered a Las Vegas escort named Brie. Brie and Tabitha share a birthmark on their stomach. Brie and Tabitha both have double-jointed thumbs. Brie and Tabitha have similar mouths. There is a tattoo on Brie that say "TASOS." Is that Tabitha S.O.S.? And then there are their eyes, which are very similar.
"Your eyes, they never change. You can get contacts to change the color, but you can never change your eyes," Bo Tuders said.
The Tuders went to Las Vegas and showed up at the adult business, but they were denied entrance. The FBI says they interviewed "Brie." She told them her real name was Lisa Piasecki, she lives in Florida, and provided a DNA sample.
But with this letter, now more than ever Bo Tuders wants to meet "Brie."
"No, I wouldn't like to see her interviewed. I want to meet her myself, see if it's Tabitha or not," he said.
Channel 4 spoke with Nashville cold case homicide detective Pat Postiglione, who is now in charge of this case. He said he feels like this woman "Brie" is not Tabitha Tuders, and someone is just revictimizing the Tuders.

Missing child Tabitha Tuders 22nd birthday today
Judith Yates, Nashville True Crime Examiner
February 15, 2012
For some, February 15 is the day that Valentine’s chocolates go on sale and candy lovers get their discounted treats, joking to one another. For one Nashville family, February 15 marks a sad anniversary: the birthday of Tennessee’s most mysterious missing child case, that of Tabitha Tuders.
The facts stay the same as her last birthday: On April 29, 2003 at about 7:50 A.M. Tabitha Tuders departed her residence in east Nashville, walked toward the school bus stop, and never arrived at the stop. Metro police ascertained Tabitha did not take the bus and school records proved she did not attend class. She never arrived home from school at the usual time; after a futile search, her parents notified law enforcement.
The dynamics of a missing child will change and mold a family, their friends, and neighbors. People who try to help will swear a photograph, drifting across the cyber ocean, is Tabitha, to the point of a quarrel. The words “police conspiracy” and “white slave trade” toss about where none exists. In vain, folks will swear Tabitha sightings in Las Vegas, Gallatin, and Russia. Family members begin to look suspicious, neighbors stop talking to one another, and things can get ugly due to race relations, money, greed, and the desire to solve the case. A death in the family is usually solved, is easy to explain. A missing person in a family circle has no answer, no specific perpetrator to vent anger, and no one knows what to say to one another.
Tabitha Tuders would have been 22 years old today, February 15, 2012. According to her closest friends and her family’s wishes, she would probably be in college. You can almost visualize her, leaning over a textbook, fingering a piece of blonde hair from her eyes, studying over a textbook with great intensity. Maybe she would have been a doctor, or a teacher, or like a lot of Nashvillians, a girl with a degree struggling to find herself. Instead she is a Missing Child. Forever frozen in time at 13 years old, the focus of a huge investigation, the center of a storm of heartbreak. Meanwhile, law enforcement continues to work leads; friends and family carry on the search. Hope and faith hold out, longing for answers before there are 23 candles on her cake.
The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information. Go HERE for details!
