Casey Anthony: Cindy’s ‘Good Morning America’ interview figures in defense argument

Did you put much stock in Cindy Anthony’s interview on “Good Morning America” this week?
Well, Casey Anthony’s defense did. In the chat on the ABC News morning program, Cindy Anthony seemed to play down the significance of her 911 call two years ago in which she discussed the smell of a dead body in daughter Casey’s car. Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Liz Artz this morning described Cindy Anthony’s 911 call as “incriminating.”
Artz added, “Yesterday, Casey’s lawyers pointed out that Cindy told ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ earlier this week that she exaggerated that call so that deputies would respond faster.”
Judge Belvin Perry is weighing whether the jury in Casey Anthony’s murder trial will hear Cindy Anthony’s 911 calls. The prosecution wants the jury to hear the calls; the defense dismisses the calls as hearsay.
