"Baby Jane" MILNER - 4 months (2010) Scottsdale AZ
Scottsdale police say no arrests or charges have been made in
connection with the death of a 4-month-old girl who was found
unconscious by a neighbor in a Scottsdale apartment Sunday.
A medical examiner's investigation is underway, but it may take a few
weeks before the toxicology report is returned and the cause of death
found, police said.Police also released the 911 tape of the call from the neighbor who
discovered the infant who was in a baby seat in a bedroom with her
mother, 25-year-old Megan Milner, at about 5:35 a.m. at Bella Villa
Apartments on McDowell Road and 74th Street in Scottsdale. The
neighbor said she entered the apartment about five minutes after
noticing the front door was open and a baby crying inside,
police said.
According to police, the neighbor attempted to wake Milner and calm
the crying baby, the twin brother of the deceased baby, in another
bedroom, before realizing the female infant had a gray-blue complexion,
was cold and not moving.
The neighbor called 911 and told an operator: "I'm telling you this
baby is cold; this baby is dead."
Scottsdale police were called to the scene at about 5:45 a.m., and an
officer began CPR until he was relieved by the Scottsdale Fire
Department. The baby was transported to a Scottsdale hospital, where she
was pronounced dead.
Police say the neighbor said she attempted to wake Milner before
retrieving the crying baby boy. After bringing the baby boy back into
Milner's bedroom, she realized the female infant was unconscious.
Milner took the infant to the manager's apartment to ask for help and
emergency personnel responded shortly after, police said.
Police responded to an apparently unrelated call to the apartment at
12:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say they responded to an argument between
Milner and father of the deceased baby outside of the apartment, but
determined no crime had been committed and suggested the father leave
the apartment, which he did.
Milner told police she put the baby to sleep at 11 p.m. Saturday, and
that a party was held at the apartment most of night with about 15
other people, police said.
Police say Milner admitted to drinking and didn't remember any other
details of the night.
Two other children living in the apartment, the male infant and a
5-year-old, were taken by Child Protective Services for placement with
other family members.

I searched too and couldn't find any update on this case. Is that how they handle baby deaths in AZ? I never could even find the name of the baby which should have been released since it was a death.
