Fairfax County police are asking for
your help tracking down two teenage girls who have been missing from the
Tysons Corner area for a week and missed the final days of classes at
George Marshall High School.
Tiffany Ghani, 16, and Tram Hoang, 15, were last seen about 10 p.m.
Friday night after leaving Ghani's father's apartment, where they were
spending the night. Their absence was discovered about midnight. About
the same time, police say, Ghani's father raced into the parking lot
where he saw young girl and two males a dark-colored car.
Ghani's
father raced into the parking lot. He saw a girl get in a car with two
males. Investigators suspect the other girl already was in the vehicle.
Ghani's father yelled but the dark-colored car took off.
"They
jumped into a strange car right here in front, right where this car is
parked we haven't seen them, heard from them -- we have no idea," said
George Torres, another family friend.
Friends of the girls' families passed out flyers Friday, hoping someone
will recognize the missing teens.
Initially
investigators thought the girls left voluntarily. But they have since
changed their minds. Ghani and Hoang are best friends, obsessed with
fashion, and both are very close to their families.
"These
are girls that are in constant contact with their friends, constant
contact with their family and the fact that they have not contacted
anybody is a very big concern," said Shelley Broderick, a Fairfax County
police spokesperson.
A full week without any
contact has the girl's families increasingly anxious and fearful.
Investigators are hoping someone comes forward soon with information
about their whereabouts.
"We want to make sure they
know they are not in any trouble," said Bethany Bond, a friend of the
family. She added that "both of their cell phones have been turned off
since" their disappearance and that it was "totally out of character"
for the girls to run away.

Re: TIFFANY GHANI and TRAM HOANG - 16 and 15 yo - McLean VA
One week after two Fairfax County, Va., teenagers went missing, police
are beginning to fear their disappearance is more than a youthful rebellion.
Tiffany Ghani, 16, and Tram Hoang, 15, disappeared
last Friday from Ghani's father's apartment. At first, police thought
they went off on their own free will.
Now, they're not so sure.
The pair left without taking any of their clothes or make-up, a red
flag, family and friends say, for two fashion-conscious teenagers. Both
their cell-phones have been turned off and they haven't communicated
with friends or family since they went missing.
"They left with nothing," Fairfax County spokesman Bud Walker told reporters.
"Our chief concern is they've come to harm."
The two girls were supposed to stay the night at Ghani's father's home the
night they disappeared. But they sneaked out around 10 p.m. Their
absence was discovered around midnight.
The teenagers may have
left with two unidentified men. Police said a witness reported seeing a
girl getting into a car with a man in the building's parking lot. The
other teen may already have been inside the vehicle, investigators said.
"They jumped into a strange car right here in front, right where this car is
parked we haven't seen them, heard from them -- we have no idea," said George
Torres, a family friend.
Family and friends handed out fliers on Friday seeking
information on the location of the missing teens.
"This would be an awful scenario for any parent," Walker told the Fox affiliate. "I'm
sure as soon as we can get these girls home, we'll have two sets of very relieved parents."

Re: TIFFANY GHANI and TRAM HOANG - 16 and 15 yo - McLean VA
There's still no sign of two Fairfax County girls who have been
missing for more than a week. And family and friends are growing more
desperate.
Best friends Tiffany Ghani, 16, and Tram
Hoang, 15, sophomores at Marshall High School, were last seen June 18.
While it appears the girls left voluntarily, there are fears they have
met with something more sinister.
"A lot of people
are worried about them," said one classmate who didn't want to be
publicly identified. She says she can't believe the girls missed finals
last week, a sign, she believes, that something is wrong.
"I don't think they would go so long without telling anybody where they
are," she said. "It's probably more serious. The longer it is, probably
the more serious it is."
Tram had been spending the
night at Tiffany's apartment off International Drive in the Tysons
Corner area on Friday, June 18. Tiffany's family called police when,
around midnight, the girls were gone. They didn't take any personal
items.
"They left those items at home, giving the
idea that they weren't planning on being gone for a long time," said
Ofc. Shelley Broderick, a Fairfax County police spokesperson.
A
relative of Tiffany's spotted what he believed to be one of the girls
getting into a dark-colored car in the apartment parking lot with two
men. He ran to chase the car, but it drove away.
"You
don't know if it was stranger that picked them up, or if they ran away
-- either way, you just grieve for the parents," said Nona Fitchett, a
Falls Church resident.
The girls are close to their
families and usually stay in touch. Parents and police say if anyone --
especially friends -- know something about Tiffany and Tram, they need
to speak up.
"Forget about the bond of secrecy, this
era of not snitching," said Al Fitchett, a Falls Church resident. "If
you know something, communicate that to the family and let them know."
Both
girls were known as avid texters and Facebook users, but neither has
used their cell phone or accessed their account since their
disappearance.

16-year-old Tiffany Ghani and 15-year-old Tram Hoang were located in
Columbia, SC Wednesday night. They are with a family member and on their
way back to Fairfax County.
Police first thought the teens
left under voluntary circumstances, but changed their minds because the
girls didn't take anything. Ghani and Hoang were last seen at the
Lillian Court apartment complex in Tysons Corner last Friday night.
The girls attended George Marshall High School, but missed their
last days of classes.
