JOSH ARNETT - 13 yo/Mentally challenged - Indianapolis IN
Indianapolis police are again searching for an autistic boy who they
also searched for at about the same time last year.Officers are
looking in the area of the 5400 block of Southport Road for Josh Arnett,
13.A report came in to police dispatchers at about 1:30 a.m.
that the boy, who is described as mildly autistic, had disappeared.
Arnett was wearing an orange, striped shirt, blue jeans with a hole in
the knee and orange Crocs shoes. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 100
pounds, police said.On June 29, 2009, Arnett was clad only in
pajamas and a shirt when he wandered into a Damon's Grill restaurant at
Kentucky Avenue and Interstate 465.Child Protective Services took
the boy into custody later that day, but he was reported missing later
that night, prompting a large-scale police search that was called off
when authorities learned he had been with CPS.Police have already
searched the same restaurant in the latest incident.Arnett lives with his uncle. His parents are out of
state.The family told police that the boy was put to bed at about
10:30 p.m. Tuesday and that they later noticed he was gone when they
went to check on him.Police weren't called until early Wednesday
morning because the family tried to find Arnett themselves.Indianapolis
police and the fire department set up at staging area at St. Ann's
Catholic Church as the area was scoured for the boy, who police said has
the mentality of a 5-year-old.

Police say a mentally disabled 10-year-old boy who wandered away from
home Tuesday night on the Southwest side has been found this morning.The same boy had been
reported missing on the same day last year.
"The missing child has been located," said a late-morning e-mail from
Indianapolis Metro police spokeswoman Linda M. Jackson. "He is in good
health and will be checked out by medical personnel on-scene."Relatives said Josh
