Illinois State Police continue to investigate the homicide of Arnulfo Pacheco.
Meanwhile, they hope to find his 16-year-old niece
Maria Pacheco who has been missing since his death. Police are
being tight-lipped about what may have led to the death of Arnulfo
Pacheco in this home in Marshall. Arnulfo reportedly
lived in an apartment just behind the house where his body was found.
He'd supposedly been working on the house at 4th and West Archer getting it ready to sell.
Michael Beabout said he was shocked to learn about his neighbor's mysterious death. "It's a very
disturbing strange ordeal here," Beabout said. Folks said
Arnulfo's family is well-known, owning a restaurant in Marshall.
Leaving the town buzzing about the murder and the disappearance of Arnulfo's
niece, Maria. "You can't go anywhere right now without hearing
something, a lot of talk going on," Beabout said. "I guarantee if
there's people here that didn't lock their doors before, they're locked now."
Now, folks in Marshall want answers about what happened
to their neighbor and a 16-year-old girl. "Hopefully they get
this mystery murder thing figured out because that's what it is, its murder."
For now, police are concentrating on finding the missing teenager.
State Police said they have reason to believe Maria is in her uncle's
missing silver truck, traveling somewhere in Indiana.
Meanwhile, the family's restaurant remains closed and
police continue to search for answers in this bizarre case.
The missing truck is described as a 2005 Silver Chevrolet Avalanche Pick-Up
Truck, there's also a large image of Jesus on the back window.
If you have any information about this investigation, call Illinois State
Police or the Marshall Police Department.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A teenage girl accused of killing her uncle is behind bars along with a 20-year-old man.
Maria Pacheco, 16, has been on the run since her uncle's death earlier this week along with 20-year-old Jarrod Riley. Police
in Tennessee got a tip from Illinois authorities after a food stamp
debit card was used to purchase items from a Wal-Mart in Camden,
Tennessee, about 85 miles west of Nashville.
As the Camden
police showed up to get surveillance video, thinking the pair was long
gone, the card was used again at a nearby grocery store.
They made it to the parking lot just as Riley and Pacheco were about to leave.
According to police, they have both confessed about their roles in Arnulfo Pacheco's murder. Both Riley and Pacheco have been denied bail. Riley is currently behind bars in the Benton County Jail and is due back in court Wednesday.
As a 16-year-old, Pacheco has been taken to a juvenile detention center in Memphis and is due back in court Monday. No one is sure what brought the pair to Camden, Tennessee but it is thought they were on their way to Texas.
