LUCERO LUJAN - 17 yo - Andrews (N of Odessa) TX

Andrews TX ---- A 17-year-old Andrews girl is missing and city and county law enforcement are out looking for her, authorities said.

Andrews
police Sgt. Brandi Schulze said Lucero Lujan, 17, was last seen at 3
p.m. Wednesday leaving her job at Main Street Deli, 200 N. Main St.,
Andrews.

Schulze said Lujan’s mother had phone contact with her
at about 4:30 p.m., but Lujan’s voice mail had since gotten full and no
messages could be left.

Schulze said Lujan was driving a white 2008 Ford F-150 King Ranch edition with the license number 91ZHD8.

Shulze said authorities in Austin denied the case an Amber Alert because it didn’t meet their criteria.

It is the first missing persons case in Andrews in about four years, Schulze said.

A search is underway for a missing teen in Andrews.

The Andrews Police Department expect to issue an Amber Alert for 17-year-old Lucero Lujan.

Lucero works at the Main Street Deli and was
about to leave to meet her mom on her lunch break. She had planned to
meet her mom at home - but never showed up.

Lucero's
mom called her daughter and when the phone picked
up, all she could hear was mumbling and Lucero saying "Why are you
doing this?"

The family says Lucero's cell phone record shows she last used her phone at 5:00 on Wednesday night.

Her father says right now, they're just worried for her safety and want her home.

"Right
now, I'm just scared to death something happened to her and we can't do
anything about it but just hope for the best, and hope that God helps
us through this," Lucero Lujan's Father, Nelson Lujan, said.

Her truck is also missing. It's a white 2008 Ford F-150 King Ranch with gold trim.

I don't understand why an amber alert wasn't issued, they have a description of the vehicle and every minute they wait is another minute that could've found this child. Will be keeping her & her family in my prayers.

ANDREWS - The search is over for a missing teen in Andrews.

17-year-old Lucero Lujan has been found.

NewsWest 9 first reported the story Wednesday night after talking with Lujan's family.

The family told NewsWest 9, Lujan was leaving work on a lunch break to meet up with her mom.

She had planned to meet her mom at home - but never showed up.

There's no word on her condition.
