MADISON "Maddie" RYLEIGH RAUSCHER - 6 yo - Malden (nr TN border) MO
Malden MO ---- Authorities are concerned about the safety of a
6-year-old Malden, Mo., girl who, along with her parents, has been
missing for more than two weeks.
The girl, Madison "Maddie" Ryleigh Rauscher, and her parents, Christopher and Ashli
Rauscher, have not been seen or heard from since July 14 when they may
have left the area in a charcoal gray 2010 Hyundai Sonata, owned by
Allen Christian Buick-Pontiac-GMC.
The car subsequently was reported stolen, and Ashli Rene Rauscher and
Madison have been reported missing, according to Dexter Police
Department Detective Trevor Pulley. Madison and her mother were last
seen in Dexter with Chris Rauscher.
"We're still looking for them," explained Pulley. " ... We need to find
them; we're worried about the child. We would like to know the child is safe."
Christopher Rauscher, who was an employee of the dealership, left about
11 a.m. July 14 with the car for what fellow employees apparently
assumed to be a normal lunch break, but did not return. Two days later,
the car was reported stolen.
July 14 was the same day Christopher Rauscher was supposed to be
re-interviewed by Dexter police detectives in regard to an earlier
burglary at Budget Mobile Homes, located on the north edge of Dexter.
Video provided from the business of the July 8 break-in revealed a male
figure, who resembled Christopher Rauscher, Detective Cory Mills said.
When questioned, Christopher Rauscher reportedly denied any involvement
and further denied being the figure shown in the surveillance video.
Although Christopher Rauscher was not arrested after initial
questioning, further evidence again pointed toward his involvement in
the crime and led Mills to contact him for further questioning.
Authorities believed Christopher Rauscher, along with his 27-year-old
wife and young daughter, fled in the Hyundai Sonata on the day he was to
be again questioned. When the car was taken from the dealership, it
displayed a dealer tag of D428-FU.
"We're getting a few leads coming in; when we do, we're following up on
them," Pulley said. "There's been possible sightings in other
jurisdictions and we've followed up on them.
"Anytime we get calls, we immediately work on it."
According to Mills, a witness reported seeing the car in Perryville,
Mo., on July 17 with a white male driver and a white female passenger inside.
At about 2:30 p.m. July 21, Mills said, a witness also reported seeing
the car on the parking lot of the Blytheville, Ark., Walmart, again with
a white male driver and a white female passenger.
Dexter officers contacted employees at the Blytheville Walmart
and requested the surveillance video, Mills said.
"Upon reviewing their surveillance video, Walmart (personnel) advised
the vehicle was not seen on the parking lot on that date and time," he said.
On July 20, Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Briney Welborn charged
Christopher Rauscher with the Class C felony of stealing involving the Hyundai Sonata.
Associate Circuit Judge Joe Satterfield subsequently issued a warrant
for the 38-year-old's arrest and set his bond at $25,000 cash.
At this time, Pulley said, the burglary is "still open and an ongoing
investigation" and Christopher Rauscher still is wanted for questioning.
Christopher Rauscher also faces unrelated charges in Cape Girardeau and Dunklin counties.
He is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Thursday before Associate Circuit
Judge Gary Kamp in Cape Girardeau County for a hearing on the Class D
felony of leaving the scene of a motor-vehicle accident and the Class B
felony of making a false report.
The charges reportedly stem from an investigation by the Cape Girardeau
Police Department. Christopher Rauscher is accused of wrecking a vehicle
from another dealership where he was employed.
Found disabled in Cape Girardeau, Christopher Rauscher had reported the
vehicle stolen, but surveillance video reportedly implicates him.
A warrant also is outstanding for Christopher Rauscher's arrest through
Dunklin County, where he was charged July 20 with the Class A
misdemeanor of passing a bad check. Bond there is set at $5,000.
Anyone with information about Christopher Rauscher or his whereabouts,
as well as the whereabouts of his wife and daughter, is asked to call
the Dexter Police Department at 573-624-5512 or e-mail Mills at cory.mills@dexterpd.com.
All calls and e-mails will be kept confidential.
"If you see the vehicle, if you see them, please contact us and let us
know where they are at, so we can see that the child is safe," Pulley said.
Christopher Michael Rauscher is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall
and weighing 165 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
His wife, Ashli, is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing
about 120 pounds. She has what is described as collar length, straight
brown hair and blue eyes.
Ashli Rauscher has a tattoo on her right shoulder of a teddy bear with
Madison's name on it and another tattoo on her lower back.
Madison, who has brown eyes, is between 45 and 50 inches tall and weighs
about 50 pounds. Madison's brown hair is shoulder length and straight.

Madison and Ashli Rauscher
Chris Rauscher
MALDEN, MO (KAIT) – The Malden family who disappeared on July 14 is still
missing. Authorities aren't any closer to finding them, and two have
been listed as missing persons.
According to Dexter Police only a
few leads have trickled in since Chris, Ashli and 6-year-old Madison
Rauscher's disappearance. Ashli and Maddie have officially been listed as missing persons.
Members of their extended family are creating
fliers and trying to get them spread throughout the area in hopes they
will find new information.
The Rauschers are believed to be in a stolen car that Chris allegedly
took from the dealership where he worked in Dexter.
According to Dexter Police, a warrant is out for Chris's arrest, and both he and
his wife are facing some serious trouble with the law if and when
they're caught. The main concern right now is the safety of 6-year-old Madison.
The family was last reportedly spotted at Wal-Mart in Blytheville, AR.
So far, the video has not been released to police.
If you have any information on where the family might be,
