Clackamas OR ---- A 12-year-old girl is missing after the vehicle
she was riding in was separated from a caravan along Interstate 205.
The Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office said Elizabeth Shambaugh, 12, was
riding in a truck with an acquaintance of her father at about 2 p.m.,
and while traveling alongside her father on I-205 they became separated
near Johnson Creek Blvd.


That truck hasn't been seen since, and
deputies are looking for both Shambaugh and her father's acquaintance,
Christine Johnston, who is driving the truck.
Johnston is driving a 1985 Ford F250 truck with Oregon plates
XYQ562. The truck is blue with white side panels, has several bumper
stickers on it, and the phrase "Will work for food" is in black letters
on the truck. The truck may be headed to the Umatilla or Hermiston,
Ore. areas, where the caravan was headed today.
Investigators said they haven't issued an Amber Alert because they
don't know for sure whether Shambaugh is in danger. No one in the
caravan had a cell phone, so they have no immediate way to reach
Johnston or the girl.
Shambaugh's father had his other two children in his vehicle with him. They are safe and accounted for at this time.
