"Infant Jane" TOTTEN - 18 Months - Madill (nr TX border-North of Sherman) OK

A Marshall County mother accused of letting her boyfriend abuse her 18-month-old daughter was arrested this week and charged with enabling child abuse. 19-year-old Mary Totten is facing charges for endangerment to a minor child. Last month her boyfriend, 23-year-old William Doshier, was arrested and charged with child abuse by injury. The baby was taken to OU Medical Center in critical condition. Doshier pleaded not guilty in court today and will be formally arraigned next month. He is being held in the Marshall County Jail on $500,000 bond. "The investigators thought the investigation determined that there was some allegation that the abuse was taking place and she did nothing to stop it," Marshall County Undersheriff Donny Raley says. Totten was released from jail on her own recognizance. She is due back in court November 2.

Though it doesn't say what kind of abuse the girl suffered, I surmise it must have been very felonious as a bail of half a million would indicate.
