MARIAH KAMMERER - 16 yo - Evansville IN
Tears fall from Darah Kammerer's eyes, as she's left wondering what happened to her 16-year-old daughter, Mariah.
"We just don't have any clues. We have nothing to go on," said Darah.
Darah says her daughter began hanging out with an older crowd, including people in their 20s and 30s.
The North High School student recently left home for the weekend, and she was reported missing. When Mariah returned to class without going back home, she was ordered to stay at United Methodist Youth Home for about a month.
On September 9th, Darah says Mariah left through a window on the second floor of the Youth Home.
"I just whaled like she died. I felt like my heart was ripped out."
Mariah was believed to be wearing just her pajamas, and took no personal belongings, leaving her without identification, or her medication for an impulse disorder.
"She knew she was already in trouble and wanted to run from that trouble and that only creates more."
Mariah's 18-year-old brother, Josh, lives in Alabama, but he says he hasn't seen or heard from his sister, and none of her friends have admitted to hearing from her, either.
"She may be in so deep, that she may never make it home."
A post from Mariah showed up on Facebook, two days after she left the Youth Home. In that post, Mariah said she was doing fine, but that's the last time she posted an update.
"We need to find out something. It's killing us inside."
Mariah is described as 5'1'' and 130 pounds. Anyone with information on Mariah's whereabouts is asked to call the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office at (812) 421-6200.
