Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives are asking the public for assistance in locating two Port Charlotte teen girls last seen Sept. 15. It is believed the two ran away together and may be staying in the Newtown area of Sarasota, the Sheriff's Office said.


Both girls have medical issues and did not take their medications when they left home, according to a news release.The missing girls are Kristina Marie McDonald, 16, of the 21000 block of Burkhart Drive, and Sheveya Dove, 18, of the 21000 block of Bandcroft Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Rebecca Lissow or Det. Terry Cochran at 941-258-3900, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
