A woman's boyfriend was charged with murder after her toddler died from apparent sexual abuse injuries, DeKalb County police said.Ellison Matthew, 22, was initially arrest after police found the 2-year-old girl unresponsive at her home on Brockett Road, DeKalb County police spokesman Jason Gagnon said. Matthew was charged on Sunday.Several kids were under Matthew's care, police said. They said their mother wasn't home when her toddler became unconscious.Police said the woman's boyfriend was the one who called 911. After medics rushed the girl to the hospital, police said doctors found signs of abuse."Signs of sexual abuse were obvious and she died as a result of injuries related to that," Gagnon reported. Area residents were shocked as news spread around the neighborhood."I think it's sad, messing around with kids. Kids are innocent. And they don't have nobody to turn to, and they're scared to tell," neighbor Cecil Collins remarked.
