Investigators say they’re searching for a teen who was allegedly kidnapped Wednesday in Phoenix.


Karla Gabriela Lizzaraga-Sanchez was abducted when putting personal belongings into her family’s car near 59th Avenue and Roosevelt Street, according to Sgt. Trent Crump with the Phoenix Police Department. Crump said Lizzaraga-Sanchez is either 16 or 17 years old. Her family got ransom calls from the suspects demanding a large amount of money or Lizzaraga-Sanchez would be killed, Crump said. Crump said the family last received a call from the suspects Saturday. Police said the family's 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer is now missing with Arizona license plate ALY9263. At around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, in the area of Fillmore and 59th Avenue, Karla Gabriela Lizzaraga-Sanchez was abducted while loading personal belongings into her family’s Chevy Trailblazer. Not long after that the family received ransom calls from the suspects who demanded a large sum of money or she would be killed. The last communication between the suspects and the family was on Saturday, October 2nd. Phoenix police investigators are asking for the public’s assistance as they believe that Karla is still being held. ---The post is still on the City of Phoenix website so I presume the case is still active. There is the possibility that they are not releasing any investigatory info so as not to tip their hand to the perps. I wonder if she wasn't taken back to Mexico. We all know the state of affairs down there.
