Grandmother Searches For Missing Teen

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A Riverdale teen was reported missing after she didn’t show up for school on Monday, Clayton County police said.

Fifteen-year-old Whitney Kittrell was escorted to school by her grandmother at about 7:35 a.m., Clayton County police spokesman Otis Willis said. He said school officials called her grandmother and said Kittrell wasn’t in class that day.Kittrell’s grandmother found a letter in the teen’s room that said that she plans to head to Florida, Willis said. Her grandmother said she might be with a man named Alphonoso.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clayton County Police Department at 770-477-3624.
