WEST PALM BEACH — Authorities are searching for two teenagers who apparently went missing from school in West Palm Beach on Friday.Cole Warmoth, 14, a student at Indian Ridge School at 1955 Golden Lakes Blvd., was last seen leaving school property with fellow student Ashley Caballero, 16, according to a flyer released by the West Palm Beach Police Department this morning. Cole's mother, Stephanie Warmoth of Central Florida, said she received a call on Friday from the therapeutic home where her son lives that he had not returned to the home from school.Over the weekend, Warmoth said she discovered that Cole became agitated at some point during classes Friday. After school, he went outside and met with Ashley. Together, they allegedly left school grounds.According to Warmoth, Ashley later called from a Publix to have someone pick her up. But it is unclear whether Cole was with her, his mother said.In a press conference at the West Palm Beach Police Department this afternoon, Detective Alison Lichter said investigators believe that Cole and Ashley could be runaways and may be together. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating Ashley's disappearance, she said.Cole resides at Safe Harbor, a facility that takes care of children who run away or have other needs, Lichter said. He has run away from the facility numerous times in the past month, Lichter said."The staff has always been able to coax him or encourage him to come back to the facility," she said.Cole, who has no family or known friends in Palm Beach County, was last seen wearing "a white or tan shirt and khaki pants," according to the police flyer. He is 5 foot-8 inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds, with sandy-colored hair and blue eyes. His mother said a teacher on vacation, who did not know Cole was missing at the time, later reported seeing him at the SupertTarget on Okeechobee Boulevard near State Road 7 with a man."We have no indication at all that there's any man involved, or that this was an abduction," Lichter said.Cole's mother says she wants to find him before she has to return to Orlando later today. Her son takes seizure medication daily, and has been without it since last Thursday night.Anyone with information is asked to call the West Palm Beach Police department at (561) 822-1900.

Mother desperately searches for missing son; teen disappeared at local middle school
Police say teenager has emotional problems

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla - 14-year-old Cole Warmoth has been diagnosed with several emotional disorders as well as a seizure disorder. He was a student at the Indian Ridge School for emotionally troubled children Friday morning, when he disappeared from campus. Five days and his mother, Stephanie, says she hasn't gotten one call from police. Tuesday, she made the trip from her home in Orlando to get some answers, showing up at the West Palm Beach Police Department. Warmoth says detectives say because he wasn't seen with an abudcutor, they won't issue an Amber Alert. She created a Facebook page, 'Find Cole Warmoth,' and in less than 24 hours, it has already gained almost 400 fans. After waiting for what seemed like forever, Warmoth was finally interviewed by a female detective. "We have detectives out," the detective said. "But I can't tell you what they say. I'm not going to debate you, you're not in the right state of mind." After the meeting, Warmoth is down but not defeated. "I'm willing to continue hunting down any lead and helping out," she said. Police issued a brief statement to the public, saying there were three detectives following leads. "When we are talking about emotional issues, that leads us to be concerned," said detective Allison Lichter. Warmoth spent the rest of the day handing out flyers with her son's picture, specifically at a Super Target on the corner of 441 and Okeechobee, where he was spotted Friday night. The eyewitness says he was with another girl and an adult male. "They were in the boys section., he didn't even say hi to me, he just walked on by," the eyewitness said.http://www.wptv.com/dpp/news/region_c_palm_beach_county/west_palm_beach/mother-desperately-searches-for-missing-son%3B-teen-disappeared-at-local-middle-school
