Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating a teenager who they say has been missing since Dec. 4 and might be contemplating suicide.Anita Mira, 18, was last seen walking away from her parents' home at 1501 Crest Court after she got into a fight with them after they took away her cell phone and the use of a car, said Hillsborough County sheriff's spokesman Larry McKinnon.

Since she left, however, family members have come across notes written by Mira indicating she may be contemplating suicide, McKinnon said. Mira has left home before, but she always returned after one to two days.Mira is 5-feet 2-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. Missing Hillsborough teen's body found in woods after apparent suicide

TAMPA — Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives found the body of a missing 18-year-old Sunday in a wooded area not far from her home.Anita Mira appears to have committed suicide, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter.Mira walked out of her Valrico home on Dec. 4 after a dispute with her parents that led them to take away her cell phone and car privileges. She had left home in the past but always returned home after a day or two.This time, family members found handwritten notes indicated the teen had suicidal thoughts.Detectives located her body just after 3 p.m. in a wooded area approximately 3 1/2 blocks from her home, authorities said.
