Lafayette girl, 9, reported missing

The Lafayette Police Department issued a missing child alert late Wednesday for a 9-year-old girl.According to LPD Sgt. Scott McCoy, Annebelle "Belle" M. Tesch was last seen about 2:30 p.m. at 1818 Perrine St.McCoy said Tesch's parents reported her missing after they discovered she was not with her friends.She
was wearing a blue/black-gray checkered jacket with fur around the
hood, black dress shoes with bows, gray cotton leggings and a red and
black wool dress.Police said she possibly left in a vehicle that was described as a dark blue or green late 1990s or early 2000s Ford minivan. The driver was a white, heavy set, middle-age female.
Belle Tesch is 4-foot-8, 71 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Anyone

UPDATED: Lafayette girl located safely


A 9-year-old girl that Lafayette police issued a missing child alert for Wednesday night has been located, police reported this morning.
According to Lafayette Police Sgt. Scott McCoy, Annebelle "Belle" M. Tesch had been last seen about 2:30 p.m. at 1818 Perrine St.
McCoy said Tesch's parents had reported her missing after they discovered she was not with her friends. She was reunited with her family today and police say no foul play was involved.

Annabelle Tesch was located Thursday morning and has been safely reunited with her parents. At
approximately 8:51 p.m., on Wednesday, the Lafayette Police Department
responded to a report that 9-year-old Annabelle Tesch was missing from
her home in the 1800 block of Perrine Street. Due to the serious nature
of the report, the Lafayette Police activated the investigative tool
known as A Child Is Missing (ACIM). Around 4:30 AM, on Thursday
morning, Annabelle was located unharmed in the 1700 Block of Main
Street, at the home of a friend. The investigation determined that the
incident was the result of a miscommunication between the child and her
parents. The Lafayette Police Department wishes to thank those citizens
who responded to the A Child Is Missing Alert (ACIM), and to the media
