"Newborn John" WOOD - 1 Month - Tucson AZ

Authorities say a Tucson man is in custody for allegedly abusing his infant son.Tucson police say 27-year-old Thomas Francis Wood was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Pima County Jail. He's being held on suspicion of five felony counts of child abuse.
Police received a request for assistance after the Tucson Fire Department responded to a 911 call about a 1-month old boy with a possible head injury on Aug. 18.
The
child was transported to a trauma center for emergency surgery and
doctors determined the boy had old and new "brain bleeds. They also say
the child had numerous healed, partially healed and fresh fractures on
his body.
Detectives determined Wood was the child's father and primary caretaker. It was unclear Wednesday whether he has a lawyer yet.
