A Fort Myers mother was arrested Wednesday for allegedly breaking her newborn son's bones.

A nurse suspected foul play when Katherine Barstis uttered she does “things” when she gets “mad.”

The father told officers he noticed the newborn was crying more and his left leg did not look normal.

After reviewing the x-rays, doctors say they found multiple fractures in the tibia and femur
all leading them to believe the injuries were intentional.

Barstis is being charged with child abuse.
