Jose Baez got another high-profile endorsement Monday night. Sean Hannity, host of Fox News’ “Hannity,” saluted Baez as “a great defense attorney,” then asked for Baez’s view of the Colorado shooting case.

Baez said the case would “boil down to a penalty phase: Does he get life in prison or does he get the death penalty?”

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was another guest on the “Hannity” legal panel. She agreed with Baez that everything would come down to the penalty phase because there was “so much planning and deliberation” by the suspect.

If Bondi ever wants to get out of politics, she’d have a clear path to TV legal analyst. News organizations are always looking for attractive people with forceful personalities.

Back to Colorado: To argue insanity, Baez told Hannity the defense would need to supply a long documented history of mental illness.

Hannity mentioned “Presumed Guilty,” Baez’s book about the Casey Anthony case. On a recent episode of ”The View,” Barbara Walters called the book “fascinating.” She also said that Casey Anthony “had one great lawyer. He got her acquitted.”
