Four Anderson County District 5 schools
are on lockdown Thursday as Anderson Police search for two children who
have disappeared.

Anderson Police spokesman Randall Williams says the children were
last seen at a home Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. at 135 Heard Park Drive.

The children are missing this morning along with three handguns and some camping equipment.

Police are looking for 13-year-Old James Hansen, a white teen with light brown hair and hazel eyes.

He is 5’2” and weighs 105 pounds.


They also want to find 12-year-old Cameron Thompson, an African-American child who is 5’0” and weighs 115 pounds.

He has black hair and brown eyes.


Williams says the boys are adopted brothers.

They had been placed on restriction at home for bad grades on their
report cards, but Anderson Police don’t believe they are dangerous.

They say the boys come from a family that has been involved in hunting and camping.

McCants Middle School, Midway Elementary School, Calhoun Academny of
the Arts and T.L. Hannah High School in Anderson District Five have
been put on lockdown as a precaution.
