REILAND BRYANT - 15 yo - Jacksonville IL

Authorities are looking for a 15-year-old Jacksonville boy last
seen several days ago.
The mother of Reiland Bryant said the teen has a history of running
away from home but has never been gone so long.
Maylena Thornton of Jacksonville said Reiland took off Monday night,
but came home the next day to get some food and sleep before
disappearing again.
“There have been disputes at home before,” she said,“ but he has
never been gone this long. He usually comes back when he is hungry or
tired. This has been going on for about year.”
She filed a missing person report Thursday with Jacksonville Police.


“He has no money, no food and left his cell phone at home,” Thornton
said. “You can’t tell me that someone isn’t harboring him for this
long.”
Officers have checked some houses, but the boy was not found. He
called Thornton earlier this week but when police checked the phone
number they could not identify who owns the phone.
Information about the missing boy has been entered into a national
database. Anyone with information can call the Jacksonville Police
Department at (217) 479-4630.
Harboring a runaway is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in
jail and up to two years’ probation.

The missing 15-year-old Jacksonville boy is back home this afternoon.

Jacksonville Police Lieutenant Tim Shea says Reiland Bryant called his mother, Maylena Thornton of Jacksonville, around 1:00 this afternoon and said he was coming home. Shea says officers spoke with the boy, who wasn’t harmed while missing since Wednesday.
Thornton had filed a missing persons report yesterday with JPD.
