Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 15-year-old Michigan girl they believe is in extreme danger.

Nicki Andrea Beltowski is from Sanilac County in Michigan's "thumb."

She's 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown
eyes and brown hair. She always wears a necklace with a key on it.

Sheriff's deputies in Sanilac County believe she was abducted by
14-year-old Tyler Anthony Carter. He's 5 feet, 8 inches tall and also
130 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair.



Detectives believe he's wearing camouflage gear and is known to
carry weapons.

He could also be driving a white Ford Crown Victoria with the
Michigan license plate of CDH 6632. The plate has a Marine "Semper Fi"
logo on the front.

The Amber Alert for two missing teens from Sanilac County has been
canceled. The teens are still missing, but police say this was no kidnapping.



They're runaways. 14-year-old Nicki Beltowski and
14-year-old Tyler Carter have been missing since Wednesday morning. Police
say Nicki and her boyfriend, who's been in trouble with the law before,
took off in his parents car, voluntarily. Police say Carter
pushed in Nicki's screen overnight. "I want her home safe and
sound, and I want my daughter back," said Ramona Beltowski. "Sure she's
scared to death. I'm sure she is terrified right now." "I have no
idea if he has any weapons with him, but I would consider him armed and
dangerous if I were the police. I'm sure they do," she added. The
Amber Alert was canceled because police don't believe they're in any
danger. The family has reason to believe they are in Ohio. If you
know their whereabouts, please call police.

When Anthony Carter woke up Wednesday morning and found that Tyler
Anthony Carter, 14, and the family's car were missing
from their Applegate home, his first thought was Tyler was on the run.
Police began looking for the boy and his girlfriend as soon as they
were reported missing Wednesday -- and they were located that night,
officials said.A
Sanilac County dispatcher said about 9:30 p.m. that both young people
had been found.Attempts
to obtain further information were referred to Sheriff Garry Biniecki,
who did not return telephone calls late Wednesday.Anthony Carter said his son changed for the better after going to a church camp last
summer.However,
he said, the youth's attitude changed this spring and he has been having
problems since.Carter
said his son was arrested about two weeks ago and that Tyler was
scheduled in court Wednesday. He did not know where the youth was
arrested.Biniecki
would not give details about the court case in which Tyler Carter is
involved because Carter is a juvenile.Biniecki said an Amber Alert was issued for the
girlfriend, Nicki Andrea Beltowski, 15, about 11 a.m. Wednesday.The alert was canceled
in the late afternoon when information revealed they both had left
voluntarily, according to www.amberalertmichigan.org.Biniecki said deputies were worried about the girl
because she required prescription medication they did not believe she
had. He would not elaborate about her medical condition.The girl was believed to have left her home about midnight with Tyler Carter.Anthony Carter said his son had been dating Nicki for
three or four months.Ramona
Beltowski, 64, said earlier Wednesday she was "shocked" that her
daughter was missing.She
called Nicki a "wonderful young lady" who "would do anything for
anybody."Beltowski
said early in the day it was likely her daughter went with Tyler Carter
to talk with him but was held against her will.Beltowski, who said she is Nicki's adoptive mother,
had expressed fear for her daughter's safety.

Michael Beltowski said he plans to request a restraining order against
his granddaughter's boyfriend, whom he believes abducted her Wednesday
and took her to Indiana.
The Applegate man said
15-year-old Nicki Beltowski, who lives with
him and his wife, was scared when she spoke to her grandmother
Wednesday night after police found the couple in Merrillville, Ind.Police have said they
believe Nicki went willingly with Tyler Carter, but Beltowski said he

deputies obtained new information leading them to believe the girl had
gone voluntarily and had not been abducted.The couple was found in the Indiana town -- which is
about 315 miles southwest of Port Huron -- after a report of a
suspicious vehicle, Biniecki said.The teens bailed out of the car after a short chase
and ran into a cornfield before being apprehended, Biniecki said.Tyler Carter's father,
Anthony Carter, said Thursday his son was due in court Wednesday, and he
believed the youth ran away because of it.He said the incident left him concerned for the
couple's safety as well as angry about their actions."It's torment when you don't know where one of your
kids is," Carter said.Beltowski
said his granddaughter might face a charge for resisting arrest.He said she was caught
quickly and did not run from the scene with Tyler Carter. He said he
plans to drive to Indiana today in the hope of bringing Nicki home.Carter wasn't sure
when his son would be coming home. He said it was likely he would be
brought back to Sanilac County by deputies and added he expects the
youth to face charges.Carter
said he did not understand how his son could go from an honor roll
student to a "gangster.""I
can't explain his actions and won't justify them," he said.Calls to the
Merrillville Police Department were not returned Thursday.
