The parents of a 16-year-old Walker girl have reported her missing and
Cass County officials believe she may be with a 31-year-old man.
Breanna R. Fox has been missing for more than a week, Cass County
Sheriff Randy Fisher said, and it is believed she is traveling with
Kennith Lee Gentry of Backus. The two work together at an area business
but have not been at work in more than a week, the sheriff's department
reported.
Fisher said a note was found in Fox's vehicle that stated she would be
leaving the area. The note didn't mention Gentry, Fisher said.
"We're not absolutely certain, but it's quite likely she went with this
individual willingly," Fisher said.
Fisher said it is believed Fox and Gentry are traveling through the
north or northeastern part of Minnesota in a 1984 blue GMC full-size
pickup with license plate number 739 AHM.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fox and Gentry, or on the
whereabouts of the vehicle, is asked to call the Cass County Sheriff's
Department at (218) 547-1424 or (800) 450-2677, or by calling their
local law enforcement agency.

Walker teen found; Backus man charged

The 16-year-old Walker girl, who was reported missing last month, has been located and a 31-year-old Backus man has been charged with 13 counts of sexual intercourse with a child 16-year-old or older, it was learned Friday.

Fisher said finding the girl and arresting the suspect was made possible because of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and having the two counties work together.

Gentry was arrested July 29 and taken into custody in Florence County, Wisc. According to Florence County Circuit Court, Gentry was charged Tuesday with 13 counts of sexual intercourse with a child 16-year-old or older and is currently in custody of Florence County Jail. Gentry's first court appearance will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Florence County.
