The CEMA search and rescue team was called Saturday afternoon to assist in a case involving the suspicious disappearance of a teen this morning. William Steven Brannen was last seen at this home on Colt Road at about 4:30 a.m.


Family members called Savannah-Chatham police at about 10 a.m, which prompted an expansive search that included a mass community notification, police officials said. Metro police spokeswoman Gena Moore declined to elaborate on the details surrounding Brannen’s disappearance, but said circumstances surrounding the case are suspicious.As of this afternoon, the metro police mobile command center, several detectives, forensics and at least one police dog was seen at the boy's home. Most traffic was restricted to the intersection of Colt and Garrard Avenue. Anyone with information on Brannen should call the metro police West Chatham Precinct at 652-4545.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police say they have found the 15-year-old boy who went missing from his home on Colt Road in west Savannah Saturday morning around 4:30 a.m.
Police and Chatham Emergency Management Agency Search and Rescue Team searched a wooded area and went door to door this afternoon.
A mass community notification was also sent out to locate the boy.
William Steven Brannen was found just after 6:00 p.m. about within a mile of his home.
He’s being checked out by EMS and detectives will interview him.
SCMPD says the investigation is ongoing.
