"Infant Jane" LANDRUM - 1 yo w/her Mother, Shameka - Mobile AL
- A woman and her one year old daughter are missing, and Mobile Police want your help finding them.
Police said Shameka Joy Landrum and her daughter were last seen
walking from their broken down car Friday morning about 8:45.
Shameka Landrum
Officer Christopher Levy with the Mobile Police Department said, "She,
her husband, and her one year old child were driving down Government
Street, and the car broke down somewhere around Monterey (Street)."
Police said her husband told them he stayed with the car to try to get
it fixed, but Landrum, according to Levy, "actually had an appointment
that she had to go to, so, she, and the child, continue walking east on
Government towards her appointment at the social security office."
Levy said police aren't sure if Landrum and her daughter ever made it
to the social security office, almost two miles away.
Landrum was reported missing Saturday, but, Levy said, "Recently,
weather conditions have been somewhat more severe, and you would hope
that they're, at least, somewhere sheltered and warm."
Police may have one other lead.
Levy said, "When we went and pulled her (Landrum's) last ID card, it had
an address of '15 Place.' And, so, there's a possibility that some
people believe that she has some friends that were staying at the
Mission of Hope, or, she actually does have a history where she was
homeless, at least at some time."
Police said they and her husband want to make sure the two are safe.
Levy said, "Even if she's okay, and just doesn't want to go home, just let us know where she's at."
Authorities said the one year old girl was last seen wearing pink and white clothes.
Landrum was last seen wearing brown pants and a white shirt.
If you have any information on Landrum and her daughter, call Mobile Police.
