knowledge last week to attend a show at the Aggie Theatre hasn't been
heard from since Sunday. Now, Kelley Carpenter's parents, Leeann and Robert Carpenter, are seeking the public's help finding her."I just want to know she's OK," Leeann Carpenter said. "The last two messages I got, she said she wanted to come home."
The Carpenters received text messages from Kelley's phone number Sunday afternoon saying she planned to be home Monday. However,
they have not heard from her since. They spent Wednesday in Fort
Collins looking for their daughter and seeking information. The Carpenters said their daughter has not disappeared before.Kelley Carpenter, a junior at Brighton High School, is described as 5-foot 6-inches tall, 125 pounds now with black hair. She was last seen with a man who had a Mohawk and appeared to be in his 20s, driving a green Subaru.Robert Carpenter said Kelley wanted to go to the show, but they wouldn't allow it."She went out her bedroom window," he said.Leeann
Carpenter said Kelley took along a backpack she left with friends that
included a change of clothing and pajamas. When she left with the man,
she also did not have her wallet or medication, Leeann Carpenter said."I'd
feel better about it if she took everything to run away with," she
said, adding that her daughter has adrenal insufficiency. "Her body
doesn't respond (well) to stress."The Brighton Police Department has a report on the incident but declined to release details because it involves a juvenile."There's
no indication for a heightened level of concern," said Brighton police
spokesman John Bradley. "I don't see any indication she's an endangered
runaway."A Fort Collins Police Services spokeswoman on Wednesday said police here were aware of the situation.

a motel room in Fort Collins on Friday night but Kelley never showed up
after the concert. The friends said Kelley was last seen in the

Re: KELLEY CARPENTER - 17 yo - Brighton (NE of Denver) CO
A 17-year-old girl from Brighton is back with her family after running away for 12 days and leading her parents on a search through Fort Collins to find her.
Kelley Carpenter left home without her parents' knowledge Jan. 14 to see a show at the Aggie Theatre. Leeann and Robert Carpenter came to Fort Collins a few days later, passing out fliers and asking local people for information, as contact with her had been limited.
"Her phone did go dead," Robert Carpenter said. "Of course, she could have contacted us at any time."
The parents drove to Fort Collins on Wednesday after arranging to pick up Kelley. Robert Carpenter said she was fine and had been staying with people who cooked for her.
"It's a dumb kid thing is what it is, but at least she's safe," he said.
