13-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing
NOPD Asks For Public's Help

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are asking for the public's help in locating
a 13-year-old girl who went missing on Sunday.
Jamaika Richardson was last seen by her mother at their home in the 4500 block
of Urquhart Street, police said. She was playing in the front yard with
other children around 3 p.m.The girl's mother told police it was
uncharacteristic of her daughter to go missing, and she has not seen or
heard from the girl since then.Richardson is described as an
African-American female, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing
145 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a forest green polo
shirt, a black leather cropped jacket and brown slip-on shoes.
Anyone with information that can help locate Richardson should contact the New Orleans Police Department at 504-821-2222.

Poster's Note: I don't understand why this is the first time I found anything about this girl. She's only 13 and went missing from her front yard and this happened on Sunday! Did the parents not report it til now or did the police not bother to take it to the media til now?

Update: Jamaika Richardson has been found. Her mother told New Orleans Police she came home Friday.
Originally she went missing January 16th.
Investigators report Richardson was last seen by her mother at her
residence on Urquhart Street around 3:00 P.M. playing in their front
yard with other children. Ms. Richardson said this is uncharacteristic
of her daughter and has not seen or heard from her since.
