DOMINIC EMERSON - 9 yo - Reno NV

On January 22, 2011, at approximately 4:02 pm (WST) a child was abducted by his
natural mother from the Kids Cottage located at 2075 Longley Lane. The
mother has no parental rights to the child and while on a visit with the
child, fled the location in a 1995 Black Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a
license plate number of NV 435 WAN. The vehicle was followed by a
witness and last seen W/B on I-80 passing the Wells Ave. exit. An Amber
Alert was initiated.

Victim: Dominic Emerson W/M, 9 yrs. old, 4'10", thin, brown hair, brown
eyes, last seen wearing Black T-shirt with a logo on it, black pants and
black tennis shoes.

Suspect: Stacy Small, AKA: Stacy Emerson,
W/F/A 36 yrs. old, 5'10", 260 lbs. brown hair, blue eyes, last seen
wearing black sweater/jacket, dark blouse and dark slacks.

Vehicle: 1995 Jeep Cherokee, black in color, Lic: NV 435 WAN

10:28 p.m. Stacy Small and Dominic Emerson have been located in Sun Valley. Dominic is unharmed; his mother is in custody.

Reno - The Reno Police Department says the birth mother of a 9-year-old Reno boy, whose
kidnapping set off an Amber Alert around Nevada, has been booked and
charged with kidnapping and child abuse.
RPD detectives located Stacy Small, 36, and Dominic Emerson at a home in Sun Valley approximately 6 hours after the abduction.
Reno Police officers and Washoe County deputies arrested Small after a brief struggle in which a taser was used.
Small is accused of abducting Dominic Saturday evening from Kids Kottage on 2075 Longley Lane in Reno.
She did not have parental rights to Dominic.
Her bail is set at $53,500 and is booked at the Washoe County Jail.
