Reno, NV - Two-year-old child injured, victim of an
apparent fall. The mother of the child and her live-in boyfriend were questioned and later arrested.
The mother, Tkeyah Jordan, 21, and Trevor Swanson,
27, live-in boyfriend, are charged with child abuse causing substantial
bodily injury, and domestic battery causing substantial bodily injury.
Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday Reno Police responded to
an apartment, on the 1400 block of Evelyn Way, to a report of a
two-year-old child in medical distress, from an apparent fall.
Officers were told the child was in full cardiac arrest, according to paramedics already on the scene.
Officers spoke with the mother and live-in boyfriend, and afterward
questioned the validity of their statements in relation to the injuries to unresponsive child.
After further investigation RPD arrested both defendants for the above charges, and booked them into the Washoe County Jail.
The child is currently under intensive care with life threatening injuries. RPD is still investigating the case.

Baby abusers don't even take holidays off. I'm sick of mothers lying to protect their boyfriends. They need to be protecting their children.

Reno, Nev (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A two-year-old girl, allegedly
abused by her mother and mother's boyfriend, has passed away from her
injuries. And now her mother's boyfriend is charged with murder.
This is one of those stories where we should warn that it may not be
suitable for younger viewers. In these court documents, are the details
of a baby's appalling death. But it's important to report because it's a
reminder how vital it is to report child abuse if you see it.
Trevor Reid Swanson, age 27, and his live-in girlfriend Tkeyah Jordan, age 21
had been charged with child abuse last week. But now that Tkeyah's two
year old daughter, Nalaya, has died from her injuries, Swanson is
charged with murder.
Court documents reveal the kind of abuse that allegedly went on inside this apartment on Evelyn Way in Reno.
Much of the abuse reportedly stems from Swanson's irritation that Nalaya
was, quote, "whiney." The report states Swanson and Jordan "admitted to
blowing marijuana smoke in Nalaya's face in an attempt to stop the
whining and to help her sleep."
In another instance, after Nalaya's "whining," Swanson "violently snatched her off the ground by
her left arm, and put her in her crib."
The documents state "Trevor and Tkeyah both admit they knew the baby's shoulder was
dislocated... but they did not take Nalaya to the doctor for fear they
would be reported for child abuse."
The report goes on to say, "Trevor became more violent over the last week or so, striking Nalaya
in the face on almost a daily basis."
Last Monday, Swanson and Jordan "smoked some methamphetamine," according to the documents.
They told police that night they "heard a thump in the bedroom... assumed
she had crawled up on the crib and fallen off." The documents state
"this was Trevor's initial excuse for the brain injury to Nalaya.
The report outlines more meth use by Swanson and Jordan. It also details
further abuse by Swanson -- too graphic to report -- using both a belt
and his hands. When Nalaya went into convulsions last Tuesday, her mom
finally called 911.
I spoke to a neighbor today who didn't want to
go on camera, but said he and others were not aware that this alleged
abuse was going on inside that apartment.
Swanson is charged with murder, and it's unclear if charges other than child abuse will be placed on Tkeyah Jordan as well.

These POS mothers make me sick. It is no accident that POS mothers find monsters and allow them to abuse and/or murder their babies.
