Search for Missing Ingleside Girl Expands

INGLESIDE - The search is expanding for a missing Ingleside girl.

Now, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is joining the
Ingleside Police Department in the search for 15-year old Megan Durr. It
has posted her photo on its website. Durr was last seen on December 23rd.

Officers believe she may have run away from home but say they believe she may be the victim of a crime.

Investigators believe she may be in the company of an adult male. Durr is 5'4", 110 pounds with light brown hair and brown eyes.

Ingleside teenager Megan Durr has been missing since the night of
Dec. 23 and her parents are asking anyone who may have seen her to
please contact the local police department.

The Durrs have had no
contact with her since that night. They have followed several leads to
no avail. Flyers are posted at every convenience store in Ingleside,
Aransas Pass, and Rockport. The incident has been reported to Aransas
Pass Sheriffs Office, Ingleside Police Department, and Taft Police
Department.

Her parents are extremely concerned about her and
wish nothing more than to find her safe to get her back home. The
teenager is currently taking medication for depression and has been
without it all this time.

Thank You all for your continuing support and I just wanted to say that your prayers are being heard loud and clear. As soon as she came up missing, my wife and I made flyers and posted them up at every business and gas station we could think of. We then rode around the neighborhoods in Aransas Pass and Ingleside giving out flyers to the public asking if anyone had seen her to please call.. With no luck. The only reason why we didn’t reach out to the media sooner is that we didn’t know any better.. We were under the impression that the police were going to handle everything, but to our dismay nothing was done for about three weeks, her information finally got put on TV. I definitely would have had the media involved much sooner if I had just known what to do. I now have the word out to four major agencies as well as facebook. I also plan to hit all radio stations, newspapers, and anything else I can get my hands on. I’m going to try every media outlet and obtain as much information from anyone who might know something as I can to increase my chances of finding her. Your support and encouragement is a huge blessing in trying to find our baby girl! Thank You! I just know she's out there and just needs a little help to find herself home again.

INGLESIDE - The Ingleside Police Department says their search for a
missing teenager is intensifying. 15-year-old Megan Durr was last seen
on December 23rd.
Police have received several tips indicating that Durr was spotted at
Timon's Ministries and a Shell gas station in Flour Bluff within the
past few weeks.
Police say they've gotten search parties together and have been hanging flyers throughout the area.
Although, authorities believe Durr may have run away from home, they're not ruling out the chance of foul play.
Durr stands 5"4', weigh 110 lbs., she has light brown hair and brown eyes.

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Corpus Christi police say they found a run-away
teen hanging out with a registered sex offender early this morning.
Police say 18-year old Paul Williams and the 13 year old runaway
were on their way to a motel on Leopard when the officer spotted them.
Police arrested Williams and charged him with harboring a runaway child.

Missing Girl's family: She Wasn't Allowed To Return
CORPUS CHRISTI - When Terri Barber held his stepdaughter for the first time in 3 months, he says he couldn't let go.
On Monday, police in Aransas Pass found the missing teen at a mobile
home on Avenue A, where she was staying with a man in his early 30's.
The discovery came about as a result of a phone call to the Aransas
Pass Police Department, and it followed months of active searching by
her family, friends, and even volunteers who feared something terrible
had happened and desperately wanted to bring her back home.
Barber said Monday evening that Megan left home in late December
after making friends with several people through social media websites
like Facebook and MySpace.
He said she wanted to come home earlier, but was afraid, because of what consequences she might face when she returned.
He added that the people she was staying with also didn't allow her
to leave, although Aransas Pass police said earlier Monday it appeared
to be more of a runaway situation that didn't involve her being kept
against her will.
It was Barber's understanding Monday evening that two men had been
arrested Monday in connection to her disappearance, but he didn't know
their names.
Our calls to the Ingleside Police Department, the agency handling the case, were not returned.
Barber says he plans to pursue all charges possible against the people she was staying with.
