Leominster man held on child rape charge

LEOMINSTER —

A 43-year-old Leominster man is being held on $50,000 cash bail after
his arrest Tuesday on a charge of rape of a child with force.

Adam Ramos of 50 Blossom St. was arraigned this morning in
Leominster District Court before Martha A. Brennan, said Timothy J.
Connolly, spokesman for District Attorney Joseph Early. He is charged
with raping a 3-year-old.

Mr. Ramos is scheduled to return to court Feb. 24 for a pretrial hearing. Judge Brennan set high bail
because of the serious nature of the charge and Mr. Ramos' criminal record.

Court documents indicate Mr. Ramos was arrested after the
child's 15-year-old sister raised concerns to a Leominster High School
psychologist that her younger half-sister was talking strangely and
playing with dolls in a disturbing fashion that was sexual in nature.
The student also told the psychologist that she heard an audio recording
from her mother's cell phone of the little girl talking about Mr. Ramos
and what appeared to be inappropriate “games” he was playing with the
child.

The report said there may have been a rape in November, and more recently within the last 11 days.

A week ago, the report said, the child's mother noticed what appeared to
be evidence of sexual assault after the child told her she was feeling
pain. She confronted Mr. Ramos, who was her live-in boyfriend, about her
daughter's allegations. It was after the older daughter raised concerns
with the school psychologist that action was taken.

The school psychologist made a child endangerment complaint, and it was
investigated by the Leominster office of the state Department of Family
Services, which informed police of the child's allegation.

At the same time, the child's mother made an appointment with the child's
pediatrician, who found on the child what appeared to be evidence of
forcible rape. Based on the information from the pediatrician, the
child's mother and statements by the child's sister, Mr. Ramos was
arrested.

Posters Note: This poor child's mother didn't do anything other than confront her boyfriend and leave it at that. Not to mention she brought a man with a criminal record into the home with her 3 yo and 15 yo daughter. She needs to be charged too IMO. Her 15 year old sister is a hero.
