WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- An alert has been issued for a missing 7-year-old in West Palm Beach.Riccara Latson was last seen in the 1100 block of 36th Street in West Palm Beach on Sunday.Latson
is about 4 feet, 2 inches tall, 55 pounds, with black hair and brown
eyes. She was last seen wearing a red and plaid dress, black shoes,
white socks and gold hoop earrings.Riccara may be with her
mother, Catrena Jones. She was last seen wearing a gray suit, purple
shirt, black shoes and a large black and white polka dot hat.Anyone
with information concerning the whereabouts of Latson or her mother is
asked to contact West Palm Beach Police at 561-822-1900.

Child taken during church services by non-custodial parent

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Police need your help locating a missing 7-year-old girl. Riccara
Latson was attending Sunday morning church services 1100 block of 36th
Street, when her biological mother, Catrena Jones asked to see the
child. Police spokesman Chase Scott says Jones then took the child and
left. Riccara Latson, is described as a black female, 7 years
old, 4 feet 2 inches tall, 55 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, wearing a
red and plaid dress, black shoes white socks and gold hoop earrings. The
mother Catrena Jones, was last seen wearing a gray suit, purple shirt,
black shoes and a large black and white polka dot hat. If you

A 7-year-old girl that was missing has been found, according to a
Florida Department of Law Enforcement missing child alert sent Sunday. Riccara Latson was missing for most of the day after being seen near the 1100 block of 36^th Street. She may have been with her mother Catrena Jones, an earlier release said.

A 7-year-old girl was found following a frantic day-long search that
began earlier today, according to the bishop of Mount Calvary Baptist
Church in West Palm Beach.Bishop W. Oshea Granger, said Ricarra Latson, 7, was attending services with her guardian, Florence Williams, this morning.During
an interlude in the service, the girl's mother, Catrena Renee Jones,
40, convinced church-goers she was Ricarra's aunt. Jones lost custody of
the girl two years ago.Granger said Jones wore a large, floppy hat that disguised much of her face, and she allegedly was able to snatch her daughter.According
to Granger, Jones was arrested by federal authorities tonight after she
was found in an apartment in Lake Park. Granger was unaware how she was
found or who lived in the apartment.Jones lost custody of her
daughter following drug addiction and behavioral issues which includes a
bi-polar disorder, Granger said.Granger said Jones previously
attempted an abduction. Authorities allegedly investigated the case but
never arrested Jones, Granger said.Granger was away on business
and did not officiate Sunday's service. He said he headed home as soon
as he heard about the abduction, going straight to Williams' home."To
the degree I understand, there's no sinister motive, other than perhaps
the plain motivation of love by a mother trying to get a relationship
with her child. The only problem is she's going about it the wrong way
obviously by not going through the proper channels, which would be the
courts at this point," Granger said.
