HOLLY LYNN BOBO - 20 yo (4/2011) /Charged: Zachary Adams, John "Dylan" Adams, Jeffrey Kurt Pearcy, Mark Pearcy and Jason Wayne Autry - Darden TN
Volunteers began gathering at Bear Creek Baptist Church in Darden
around 6 a.m. today to organize further searches for Holly Lynn Bobo,
20, who has been missing for more than 24 hours now.Law
enforcement officers continued their search overnight, and volunteers
will resume their efforts this morning, using all-terrain vehicles and
horses to search the woods where Bobo was last seen in this community
near the Decatur County-Henderson County line.
Law
enforcement officials said more than 400 people have helped in the
search so far, and the search will intensify today. The church is
serving as the command center. Anyone can go there to volunteer. Some national media reportedly also are on the scene today. No new leads or evidence have been reported. The TBI and the Decatur County Sheriff's Office continue to urge anyone with information to call in. Holly Lynn Bobo was last seen about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday outside her
home on Swan Johnson Road. Investigators say they believe a man dressed
in camouflage kidnapped her during a home invasion. A neighbor called
police after hearing Bobo scream, and a family member saw the man in
camouflage drag her from their carport toward the woods behind their
home, authorities said. Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt
said investigators do not have a suspect but that the kidnapper likely
knew Bobo's schedule. There was no description given of any vehicle
involved, and the kidnapper may have been on foot. Bobo is
described as having long, blond hair. She is 5 foot 3 inches tall and
weighs about 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt and
light blue jeans. Anyone with any information on the
abduction is asked to call the Decatur County Sheriff's Office at (731)
852-3703 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.

An Amber Alert has been issued for 20-year-old Holly Bobo, the cousin
of ‘When I Said I Would’ country singer Whitney Duncan. Bobo was
dragged from her Decatur County, Tenn. home, which is about 100 miles
outside of Memphis, yesterday morning by a man dressed in camouflage.
“My cousin Holly was kidnapped this morning. Please pray for her
& our family,” Duncan, a former ‘Nashville Star’ finalist, posted to
her Facebook page. “This is really sad & shocking.”
According to reports, Bobo’s older brother saw the man pull his
sister, a University of Tennessee Martin Nursing student, into the woods
after invading their home around 7:30AM on April 13.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has called on the Violent Crime
Response Team for help, and an Amber Alert has been issued for Bobo.
Bobo, pictured below, is 5-foot-3-inches tall, 110 pounds and has
shoulder-length blonde hair. Officials have urged that anyone with
information about Bobo’s whereabouts should contact the TBI at
1-800-TBI-FIND.
“Lord have mercy,” Duncan posted to Twitter yesterday. “I feel like I’m walking in a nightmare. Thanks for all the prayers and please keep spreading the Amber Alert.”

Bad weather moving through western Tennessee will affect the search
for 20-year-old nursing student Holly Bobo, who was last seen being
dragged away from her home by a man in camouflage, officials say. Pictures: Holly Bobo MissingThere
is a forecast of hail, wind and possibly tornadoes in the area, said
Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt. He suggested people searching for Bobo
should wait and see how that will affect efforts to find her, reports CBS affiliate WTVF.
Authorities don't have any suspects in the case, which is being investigated as an abduction, said Wyatt. Bobo
has been missing since Wednesday. Her older brother told authorities he
saw a man wearing camouflage drag her from her home toward the woods.
Several law enforcement agencies and hundreds of volunteers have
searched the surrounding woods and fields. Bobo is
5-feet-3-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She was seen around 7:30
a.m. wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans. Officials ask that if
you see Holly or anything suspicious contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

---Well, it says older so anywhere from 22 to ?. I see what you are getting at though. Some reports say that he thought it was one of her boyfriends at first and didn't think anything was amiss until he saw her being dragged in the woods. At that point I would have called 911 from my cell while I was running after them, but I wasn't there. Another report says a neighbor heard screams and called 911 but didn't know where they were coming from.tears4caylee wrote:Im wondering, how old was her brother and why couldnt he go out there and help...????

Poster's Note: Now they're saying she was led into the woods...not dragged.
A Tennessee college student abducted outside her home as she was leaving
for class complied with her camouflaged kidnapper who led her into a
nearby woods because she was "in fear of her life," investigators said
today.
Holly Bobo, 20, was confronted Wednesday by a man in hunting camouflage
who forced her to go wiht him into the woods, said John Mehr, spokesman
for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
"We believe he actually had her arm, holding her. We feel she was in
fear of her life, so was complying," he told a news conference.
Mehr said investigators "did not see drag marks." He added she was "not
forcefully dragged and she's like any other victim, maybe complying with
her attacker, but she walked into the woods" outside her Pasrons, Tenn.
home.
Bobo's 25-year-old brother watched from inside the home, but did not
believe she was being abducted until later. He saw the stranger from
behind and believed it was his sister's boyfriend.
Investigators initially said the woman was dragged from near the house's
carport into the woods, leading many to ask why the brother had not
intervened.
Her brother, said Mehr, "had reasons to believe [the man] was not an attacker."
The officer said that neither Bobo's brother nor her boyfriend were suspects. "We are confident of that," he said.
But police have no leads to the identity of Bobo's abductor.
"There is not a person of interest at this time," he said.
Investigators said they had found new pieces of evidence, including what
Mehr called Bobo's "lunch purse," but but would not specify where it
was found.
"They have found some evidence that is new and specific to the case," said Decatur County Mayor Michael Smith.
The mayor called the newly discovered clues "very encouraging."
While refusing to discuss any other evidence, Mehr said reports that a
car had been found containg Bobo's cell phone and some camouflage
clothing was wrong.
The search by police and as many as 400 volunteers had scoured wooded
areas of three counties over three days, at times during thunderstorms
and heavy winds.
Authorities said they believed they were on a trail that was still warm.
"Folks, this is getting good now. Things are happening fast," a state
investigator told a crowd of volunteers at the makeshift staging ground
in Parsons.
Bobo's father said Thursday that he believed the man may have been
someone who knew the young nursing student and knew the family's
routines.
"It might have been somebody close, somebody that kind of knew our
routine and when I left and when she left [his wife] and when my
daughter left to go to school, is what I got in my mind," said Dana
Bobo. "But I don't know what for sure."
"It's very possible that he could have known her, could have known her
daily routine. We're following up on everything we possibly can," said
Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt.
"As long as we keep our faith that she is alive," said Wyatt, the search will continue.
Bobo is a cousin of Whitney Duncan, a country music singer and a
finalist on the television talent show Nashville Star. She recently
tweeted, "Lord have mercy. I feel like I'm walking in a nightmare."
The army of volunteers searched for Bobo on foot, on horseback and using ATVS.
"Holly I love you so much. Please try to get home to us and if anybody
knows anything about her please, please help us find her," said Karen
Bobo, Holly's mother.
Pink ribbons and pictures of Holly Bobo are posted all over the close knit community of 2,500 people.
"If this was my daughter, I'd want everybody doing the exact same thing for her," one volunteer said.
The community is offering a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to Holly Bobo's safe return.
"If there's anybody that can help, just come on and help us please," said Natalie Bobo, Holly Bobo's cousin.
Bobo is 5-feet-3 and weighs 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans.

My first thought too after the "original" version was posted was why the brother didn't run after them-I mean my sons and I have chased a cat that was abducting a baby rabbit-but you never know what the circumstances in the situation are, so I try not to judge. Here are some comments I found enlightening:

This story is poorly written. Dr. Kobilinsky was not presented accurate information from reporter. The brother's story did not "change". The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released statement yesterday saying that "dragged" was an improper term to use. The brother saw his sister walking into woods with a man in full turkey hunting camouflage. The man was of similar build as Holly's boyfriend. It was common for her boyfriend to turkey hunt around the family's residence. When brother walked outside about 20 minutes later he found blood in carport. He immediately called holly's cell phone and then the boyfriend's cell. Boyfriend answered and was at work miles away. Brother immediately called 911. All of this information is can easily be researched and confirmed through a search of local media websites. It is reports such as this one from "national media" that spreads rumors as being credible reports. please be more responsible with your reporting CBS news. Both your local stations in Nashville and Memphis are reporting correct information. Why can't you???

Parsons (Decatur County) , TN - The search for missing
Darden resident Holly Lynn Bobo resumed this morning as law enforcement
officials, as well as hundreds of Tennessee volunteers braved cooler
temperatures in rural West Tennessee.
Volunteer rescue efforts resumed between 7 and 9 AM this morning with
hundreds of volunteers on foot, all terrain vehicles and horseback. At
around 2 PM, the roster of volunteers had swelled to approximately 700.
Local churches, businesses and individuals were also lending support in
the form of food supplies and toiletries to sustain the volunteer
effort.
According to reports from Decatur County, the reward for information
leading to the return of Holly Bobo to her family had surpassed
$30,000, which included an anonymous donation of $5,000 from one area
businessperson.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation held a press conference
yesterday afternoon to address crucial new leads in the investigation.
Yesterday the TBI revealed that a lunch box belonging to Holly Lynn
Bobo had been recovered. An earlier report of a car containing the cell
phone of Holly Bobo had been incorrect.
The THP also directed volunteer searchers to be on the lookout for female items such as a purse, or even school books.
Scanner traffic from Decatur County between 2:00 to 2:30 PM yesterday
afternoon indicated that law enforcement officials had been sent to
investigate a vehicle containing those items, but authorities
discounted a connection to Holly Bobo, who was abducted on Wednesday,
April 13th.

In the above clip, at around the 6:12 point, authorities are told of
a possible car in the woods in Decatur County. at around the 16 minute
mark of the clip, authorities request that the search effort regroups
at the Decatur County Fairgrounds.
The TBI yesterday also dispelled rumors regarding the sequence of
events that led to the disappearance of the 20 year old UT Martin
nursing student.
An initial report, released by the TBI on Wednesday,
stated that Bobo's brother had seen his sister being "drug across the
carport" of their Swan Johnson home.
Authorities corrected the
statement, stating that the 25 year old brother had seen his sister in
the carport with a man in camouflage, from behind.
Moments later, he saw his sister walk towards the woods with the man in an unforceful manner, as if she was being led.
Holly Bobo's brother did not become suspicious of the events until he
discovered blood in the carport. Authorities have stated that she was
not forcefully abducted, but rather led away.
The TBI reported yesterday during a press conference that she may have
been in fear for her life when she was taken from the home.
Dana Bobo, Holly's father, said on Thursday, that he believed that it may have been someone that knew the family's routine.
Another press conference in Decatur County was tentatively scheduled for 4 PM this afternoon, April 16th, according to a release by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Holly Lynn Bobo is 5' 3" tall and weighs around 110 pounds. She was
last seen on Wednesday, April 13th at around 7:45 AM wearing a pink
t-shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Hundreds Search Tennessee Woods for Missing Nursing Student
Apr 17, 2011 – 2:45 PM
Hundreds of volunteers combed wooded areas of Tennessee today in the search for missing nursing student Holly Bobo, believed to have been abducted from her home by a man wearing camouflage clothing.
Bobo, 20, is the cousin of country music singer Whitney Duncan. The search has galvanized the area near the small community of Parsons where she lives, about an hour northeast of Memphis.
"This Sunday is no day of rest," local TV news anchor Will Nunley wrote in one of his many Twitter updates from the search site. He described a "nonstop shuttle of buses" bringing volunteers to the woods to help.
More than 500 volunteers were involved in the search effort Sunday morning, joining law enforcement officers from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Decatur County Sheriff's office.
Bobo was last seen Wednesday morning by her brother, who called 911 after seeing her heading into the woods with an unknown man dressed in camouflage. Authorities have said they believe Bobo did not go "willingly," but she also was not dragged or carried into the woods outside her home, as early reports suggested.
Searchers found Bobo's lunchbox, as well as duct tape with blond hair on it, although authorities said they did not know if it was Bobo's or connected to the case. Volunteers have been searching on foot, horseback and by ATV.
At the time of her disappearance, Bobo was preparing to leave for classes for her nursing clinical training program. Her parents said they believe her abductor may have been someone who knows her and her family's daily habits.
"It might have been somebody close, somebody that kind of knew our routine and when I left and when (my wife) left and when my daughter left to go to school, is what I got in my mind," her father, Dana Bobo, said at a news conference last week. "But I don't know what for sure."
Pictures of Bobo are posted throughout the community, along with pink ribbons. Many of the searchers have also worn pink, her favorite color. The community also is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.
The search has reached beyond her small community, with organizers coordinating searches and releasing updates via social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Her cousin, Duncan, has also tweeted about the case.
"I can't thank you all enough for all the efforts to find Holly. Keep it up until she is home with us," she wrote.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says law enforcement officers are investigating more than 250 leads in the case and urges anyone who may have information about Bobo's disappearance to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Investigators in Tennessee say the person who abducted nursing student Holly Bobo may be a member of the local community. Pictures: Holly Bobo Missing The
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has asked people living around
Parsons to think back on the past week and recall if anyone missed an
appointment or didn't show up to work unexpectedly. They say Bobo's
abductor may be showing signs of anxiety or stress, reports CBS affiliate WREG.
Investigators
say Bobo's brother saw blood outside the home after he saw her speaking
with the man as she was leaving for school. Bobo's brother has been
ruled out as a suspect, reports WREG. Additionally,
the search was moved from her home to an area about eight miles away
Friday after authorities say they discovered a car that had Bobo's cell
phone along with camouflage clothing inside. Bobo, 20, has been missing since Wednesday from her home in Parsons, about 100 miles northeast of Memphis. Bobo
is 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She was seen around 7:30
a.m. wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans.Officials ask that
anyone with information contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Tom.....do we know who was in the house at the time of Holly's abduction? All we hear is the brother, Clint, watched her walk into the woods with this person. Never have I heard where the parents or other siblings were in the house, and did Clint then alert them to the fact that she had disappeared into the woods?......I just find it odd that we hear nothing about the circumstances prior and right after her abduction. Who besides her brother was the last to see Holly?? Didn't the brother find it VERY ODD that she would walk into the woods even if he thought it was her boyfriend?.....How long before the brother made the 911 call, and how long before he himself ran into those woods searching? Just a lot of unanswered questions.

Search Continues For Missing Darden Woman
4/20/11
Authorities continued the search today for 20 year old Holly Lynn Bobo,
a nursing student who was abducted from her Darden home on Wednesday,
April 13. Her brother, Clint Bobo, told investigators he saw a man
dressed in camouflage leading Holly Bobo into the woods behind their
rural home. Investigators say Clint Bobo, 25, believed his sister had
been talking with her boyfriend but later became alarmed when he
discovered blood outside the home.
Law enforcement officials arrived on the scene at the Swan Johnson Road
residence and began the massive search. After word spread of the
abduction, volunteers joined the search effort, combing the densely
wooded area over the next several days on foot, horseback and four
wheelers.
A volunteer staging area was set up at Bear Creek Baptist Church by
Wednesday afternoon and donations of food and bottled water began
pouring in to aid in the volunteer effort.
By Friday, strong storms and the threat of tornadoes hampered the
search and the volunteer headquarters was moved to the local
fairgrounds. More than 1,100 volunteers answered the call for help
Friday as the search expanded and by Sunday, as many as 2,000 people
signed up to join in the search. School buses carried volunteers from
the fairgrounds to the search areas in the Bible Hill area, near
Interstate 40 and Natchez Trace State Park.
“It has been amazing to see so many people willing to take time to help
and how quickly they got here. Everyone is just worried about Holly and
wants her returned safely to her family who loves her,” said one
volunteer.
The county has shown its support for the search effort by displaying
pink ribbons outside homes and businesses, wearing pink ribbons and
donning t-shirts declaring “Pray for Holly.”
The night of the kidnapping, prayer services were held at area churches
and outside the Parsons Florist. Sunday night, a service was held at
the Fairgrounds where volunteers sang “Amazing Grace” and prayed for
Bobo’s safe return. Tens of thousands of people from across the country
have also joined a prayer chain online for Bobo.
On Saturday, April 15, a lunch box belonging to Bobo was recovered near
a creek approximately eight miles northeast of the abduction sight in
the Bible Hill area. Other belongings were reportedly recovered but
investigators have yet to comment on what those items may be. The blood
found outside the Bobo home has also not yet been confirmed to belong
to Holly.
Representatives of several law enforcement agencies including the
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, The Federal Bureau of Investigation
and the U.S. Marshals office have collaborated with the Decatur County
Sheriff’s Department in efforts during the investigation and while
little has turned up, Investigators hope that the national news
coverage will aid in finding Bobo’s abductor and lead to her safe
return.
The TBI announced nearly 300 leads from around the country are
currently being investigated, and asked the public Sunday to report any
possible clues to authorities.
Investigators believe the suspect may have known Bobo and is likely from the local area.
“Law enforcement is canvassing all the neighborhoods,” said TBI
Director Mark Gwyn at a Monday press conference. “We feel like the
person is right here in the community, and we’re asking if you know of
anybody that just has changed their routine since Tuesday or anything
like that, to let us know.”
The TBI is asking residents to report any person whose whereabouts were
unaccounted for last Wednesday, or who may have missed work or other
appointments since the abduction. According to a press release, the
suspect may have excessively cleaned a car or ATV, suddenly sold a
vehicle or reported it stolen, and may be showing signs of stress or
anxiety.
The suspect in the case is described as being approximately six feet tall and weighting two hundred pounds.
Bobo is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt and light blue jeans.
As of press time, no arrests had been made and there were no persons of
interest in the case, according to Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt.
The community has raised more than $25,000 toward a reward for
information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person
responsible for the kidnapping. On Monday, Gov. Bill Haslam offered an
additional $50,000 to the reward. A fund has been set up at FirstBank
for additional donations to the reward. Donations can be sent to 450
Tennessee Ave. S. Parsons, TN 38363.
Anyone with any information in the case is asked to call the Decatur
County Sheriff’s Department at 731-852-3703 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.

---Dear Aunty Ab: There have been no reports of anyone else in the home (who witnessed anything). There may have been others but if they have nothing to contribute, there would be no reason to report on them UNLESS~ (and this is where I think you are going...). I'll address that in a few sentences. As we all well know, the last person to see the victim is, many times, involved or the actual perp. I find even more things odd. This was early in the day. Perhaps the parental units were already on their way to employment. Clint and Holly are now home alone, together. Clint has a fight with Holly about something. Maybe something as simple as bathroom time... He flies into a raging terror and strangles his sister in a fit of fury. Holly's lunchbag (the article says box) was found in the woods. Other "belongings" were found in the woods. Was she "napped" while walking to her vehicle? Why take this stuff, especially if you are being napped??? I do not believe she is in those woods. I believe Clint knows alot more than has been revealed (LE may, and probably does know more). I believe these items were purposely scattered in the woods to make it look like she's there, or was there. It's all a ruse if you ask me. Parsons, TN - Marking a week since 20 year old Holly
Bobo disappeared in Decatur County, thousands of West Tennesseeans,
including family and friends, gathered for a candlelight vigil at the
Decatur County Fairgrounds.
Last Wednesday, between 7:40 and 8:00 AM, Holly Bobo was last seen by
her brother, as she was led toward the woods near their Darden home by a
man dressed in full camouflage.
As the sounds of the Praise Band from Holly's church filled the room,
the voices of those gathered all but quieted the sounds of wind, thunder
and rain outside.
Soon onto the vigil, thousands of candles lit the room when the power was interrupted by the passing storm.
Kevin Bromley read a statement from the family of Holly Lynn BoboThe
crowd, undeterred, forged ahead as strains of "Amazing Grace" and "This
Little Light of Mine" filled the fairgrounds auditorium.
Addressing the packed crowd passionately, Lt. Brad Wilbanks took the podium.
"This is day 8. Y'all are tired. We're frustrated. We ain't brought
Holly home yet. We're gonna bring Holly home." Wilbanks told the crowd.
Holly Lynn Bobo, 20The
vigil ended a short time later, after a makeshift PA was set up to
allow statements on behalf of Holly's family, followed by classmates and
friends of Holly Lynn Bobo.
Kevin Bromley, speaking for the family of Holly Bobo read a short statement, after thanking volunteers.
"Holly, if you can see or hear this wherever you are, rely on God's
strength and know we love you and we are doing everything we can to
find you," said Bromley.
Earlier today, Lt. Wilbanks of the THP reported that volunteers would observe a day of rest tomorrow.
According to Wilbanks, officials were hoping that at least 1500
volunteers per day on Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday would be
available to assist the efforts in the rugged wooded areas of Decatur
and Henderson Counties.
Wilbanks told local ABC affiliate WBBJ
on Wednesday "Tomorrow [Thursday] we're going to ask for no volunteers,
all the agencies involved, we're going to get together and revisit
everywhere, we're going to have a brand new map ready to go Friday
morning."
Along with much needed rest for the volunteers, the search effort also
received an additional monetary boost, with the Tennessee Sheriff's
Association adding an additional $5,000 reward money to the pool of
$75,000.
The combined reward now stands at $80,000 for information leading to the
arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Holly Bobo's
disappearance.
Holly Lynn Bobo is 5' 3" tall and weighs around 110 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Heather Sullivan told police about three months ago, a man grabbed her as she walked out of her Centerville home.
She dropped a lamp, and the man took off.
Centerville is about 45-miles from Bobo's hometown of Parsons in Decatur County.
The 20-year-old nursing student hasn't been
seen since last Wednesday. Her brother told authorities that he saw a
man dressed in camouflage walk her into the woods.
Since then, hundreds of volunteers have
scoured the area surrounding her home, as well as Natchez Trace State
Park in neighboring Henderson County. Her lunchbox was found about eight
miles from her home on Gooch Road last week.
The TBI has also analyzed blood found on the carport of her home, but has not released who it belongs to.
The community held a candlelight vigil on
Wednesday night to mark the one-week anniversary of her disappearance.
Strong storms pushed through, knocking out the power—but the vigil went
on by candlelight as the attendees sang "Amazing Grace".
Police have not identified any suspects in the case.

Yes, I too heard about the possible connection to something that happened an hour away...three months ago. Nope, say I. Different neighborhood, wrong perp.
A couple of new things came to mind.
> The blood in the garage/carport. Found by Clint. Could have been deposited there while loading a body into a conveyance. If he had a hand in this he's probably seen enough CSI's to know that removing blood evidence is next to impossible. This takes away from my strangulation theory. Now we also have a missing weapon.
> The only timeline we really have is based on the last person to see her (another report says: "Walking arm in arm with the camo'd man").
So first she was dragged, then she was led, the she followed, now she's walking arm in arm. Is this Clint changing this? If so, he's back-peddling to make it look "less bad" that he "didn't think much of it~that is was her boyfriend".

Very fishy to me.....usually the family is all over the TV begging for help....I haven't seen her brother Clint at all....saw her parents one time right after incident.....and police have been very quiet as well as the press in the area.

This is the first I've heard of a missing weapon, where is it missing from?
