Hi Molly. I think Tom is assuming seeing as there was blood, a weapon must have been used, rather than strangling for instance.alwaysbelieve wrote:TomTerrific0420 wrote:Yes, I too heard about the possible connection to something that happened an hour away...three months ago. Nope, say I. Different neighborhood, wrong perp.
A couple of new things came to mind.
> The blood in the garage/carport. Found by Clint. Could have been deposited there while loading a body into a conveyance. If he had a hand in this he's probably seen enough CSI's to know that removing blood evidence is next to impossible. This takes away from my strangulation theory. Now we also have a missing weapon.
> The only timeline we really have is based on the last person to see her (another report says: "Walking arm in arm with the camo'd man").
So first she was dragged, then she was led, the she followed, now she's walking arm in arm. Is this Clint changing this? If so, he's back-peddling to make it look "less bad" that he "didn't think much of it~that is was her boyfriend".
This is the first I've heard of a missing weapon, where is it missing from?

Still thinking a lot we haven't seen, such as, who else was in the home when Holly was taken, has brother Clint taken a lie detector test....still have trouble believing Clint let her walk out in the woods with this guy, even if he thought it was her boyfriend...also first report she was dragged, then followed him, then arm and arm...and no pleas from family for her return....something VERY fishy here IMO

Searchers have found an item they think belongs to a Tennessee woman
missing for nearly two weeks, but investigators aren't saying what it
is.A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman said Monday it
is unlikely the item found in the hunt for 20-year-old Holly Bobo will
be described publicly unless investigators decide there is reason to do
so.The nursing student was last seen being led away from her rural home April 13 by a man wearing camouflage clothing.TBI
spokeswoman Kristin Helm said investigators are "pretty sure" the item
found in the ongoing search belongs to Bobo but it's not certain it will
help.An $80,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

A local witness reported seeing a “substantial law-enforcement”
presence in Henderson County, Tennessee, presumably related to the
abduction of Holly Bobo from nearby Decatur County over two weeks ago.
Local News Anchor Will Nunley tweeted Saturday morning saying a
witness reported a substantial law enforcement-led search is underway in
Henderson County.
Details of what prompted the search are not being released, Nunley
later tweeted. He was told by a source that even though volunteer-led
searches are not being organized, numerous law enforcement remain,
following leads.
The small, tight-knit communities of Decatur County and other
surrounding counties are exhausted, frustrated, and begging for answers –
they want to know who abducted 20-year-old Holly Bobo from outside her
Parson, Tennessee home.
Locals have reported a level of frustration rising in Decutar County
this weekend as volunteer searchers are there - ready, willing, and able
to search - while law enforcement is saying they do not need volunteers
at this time.
The search was called off earliler in the week due to dangerous
weather conditions. At this point the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations
(TBI) is holding information close as investigators continue to follow
up on hundreds of leads.
Narrowing the investigation
On April 27 TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm announced that the
investigation is narrowing and that they know a lot more than they did
when Holly first went missing. She said their investigation is now more
focused and that they continue to follow up on leads.
The week prior Helm reiterated that no one has been ruled out in
Holly’s abduction, and added that “the focus of law enforcement
developing a suspect is outside immediate friends and family. Both Clint
[Holly’s brother] and Drew [Holly’s boyfriend] have been helpful and
cooperative throughout the investigation. Clint is being treated as an
eyewitness.”
On April 20 she wrote, “Yes, still searching and running down leads.
No new developments. Planning on being here tomorrow to keep following
leads.”
She also confirmed on April 20 that blood found at the Bobo home had
been analyzed. Helm also said, “Yes, DNA came back on the blood but we
are not releasing the results.”
Search efforts
For over two weeks hundreds of local, out-of-town, and out-of-state
search volunteers have come together for one common goal – to find clues
into the disappearance of this young nursing student.
Locals are exhausted, yet they still want to search. Volunteer
searches were called off earlier in the week due to dangerous weather
conditions. Searchers are asking when they’ll resume.
Kristin Helm, spokeswoman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations
said in an email Saturday morning, “We have no weekend searches for
volunteers scheduled. We’ll let them know if and when we need them to
search.”

This case doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. It doesn't seem like the abductor could've gotten too far away because wasn't LE called right away when the brother finally figured out it wasn't her boyfriend? It is very confusing that they haven't found her yet.
Something just isn't right about this whole case.

Couldn't agree with you more. Knowing his sister was on her way to school and then see her in the field with somebody should've raised red flags for the brother, he should've been outside seeing what was going on instead of just watching from the window. Certainly smells fishy to me.

FAST FACTS:
(Parsons, TN 6/8/11) The investigation into the disappearance of a
20-year-old nursing student still has investigators actively looking for
tips and following leads, while the community anxiously wonders where
she might be.
Volunteer search groups have not been called upon after the first few
weeks. But now two months after Holly Bobo was abducted from her Decatur
County home, official agents are still searching local areas every
week.
TBI Agent John Mehr said this is still a missing persons case, not a
homicide. He also ruled out the possibility of Bobo as a runaway.
Mehr said they still receive tips every day. But he still urges those with information to come forward.
"We know people have that information. Just please call us there's no
doubt in my mind. There are people who know what happened to Holly, and
there may be more than one person involved," Mehr said.
And if more people may be involved, then they may talk, Mehr suggested.
If anyone has overhead or seen conversations take place that could lend a
clue to the investigation, they need to call investigators.
Agents still occupy a command post at the National Guard Armory in
Parsons. When leads need to be followed, certain agents, including staff
from the Emergency Management Agency, go out to investigate.
The EMA director said they go out at least twice a week. The Decatur
County Sheriff said there were people out conducting interviews while he
was speaking to News Channel 3 on Wednesday.
John Mehr said everyone has been cooperative in the investigation,
allowing law enforcement to search their properties. But Mehr could not
discuss any evidence, or the possibility of any suspects.
He did confirm that agents have spoken with everyone relevant to Holly's
life, including people in her past. All alibis that people have given
have been verified to be true.
The prolonged search effort has taken its toll on officials, as well as members of the community.
Lt. Brad Wilbanks, with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, calls his captain every night.
"It just so happens I've got two daughters in that age range, and he
does too. It makes it very personal. You know, what did we miss, what do
we need, what can we do?" Wilbanks said.
Members of the community also remain dedicated in revisiting all
possible areas. Local volunteers as well as out-of-town search groups
have continued searching on their own. But TBI discourages this.
Instead, they hope people will alert authorities of any place that needs
to be revisited, so investigators can evaluate that information.
"We're still waiting on that tip. We're one tip away from finding her," Wilbanks said.

PARSONS, Tennessee (Isabelle Zehnder reporting) -- Nearly
200 people gathered together Saturday morning for the “Helping Holly
Run” motorcycle ride in support of Holly Bobo and her family.
Holly is the 20-year-old nursing student who was abducted from
outside her Darden, Tennessee home on April 13. [Slideshow with photos
of Saturday's event on left side bar.]
Mother’s whose children go missing, regardless of their child's age,
have a very tough time speaking publicly. It was no less difficult for
Holly’s mom, Karen Bobo, who said Saturday, “To whoever has our
daughter, I’m asking you to please do the right thing and let her come
home.”
“And to Holly,” she said. “We love you and we miss you, and we will
never stop looking for you until we have you back home safely with us.”
Karen then thanked volunteers who attended the event as well as all
those who have worked to find Holly since the day she was abducted.
Just before taking off for the ride one of the bikers said, “It’s a small town. Everybody knows everybody – it’s personal.”
“Holly represents the hope for us. We know Holly’s out there and we
would love to have Holly come home,” Mary Beth Duke said Saturday.
Over 150 motorcycle riders and their bikes could be seen lined up and
ready to go – they were there to raise awareness that Holly is still
missing, to show support for her family, and to help raise funds to
offset the costs of searching for Holly.
“People don’t realize how difficult it is financially on families
whose loved ones go missing,” one local said. “I know, I’ve watched them
suffer through this and it’s been so difficult on everyone. I’m so
thankful to everyone who came out to support the Bobos. I know they’d do
the same for anyone else, that’s the kind of people they are.”
Holly’s pastor, Don Franks, said the Bobos spent Saturday morning
searching for evidence about 10 miles west of Decatur County Middle
School where the motorcycle event took place.
“I’ve been ministering for 52 years,” Bro. Franks said, “and I’ve
never seen a family that’s gone through this level of anxiety,
suffering, and pain.” He’s been the pastor of the church the Bobos
attend, Corinth Baptist Church in Darden for 25 years.
“Our faith has been tried, but it’s still strong,” he said. “We still
have faith to believe that we are going to find her and we’re going to
bring her home.”
Mary Beth said riders gathered at Decatur County Middle School Saturday morning to show their support for Holly and her family.

JACKSON, Tenn. — Holly Bobo's family and friends have started a new
campaign in their search for the missing Tennessee woman that includes a
trucking decal with a photo of her face on it.
A group of Bobo's nursing school classmates joined her
friends and relatives in launching the Holly Bobo Across America
Campaign on Tuesday, in an effort to promote more searches for the
20-year-old woman, The Jackson Sun reported.
Bobo vanished April 13 from her home in Parsons, about
100 miles northeast of Memphis. She was last seen being led into woods
outside her home by a man dressed in full hunting camouflage.
The $25.50 trucking decals are being sold across the
country. Organizers have already sold 120 decals to 104 different
trucking companies to display on their trucks.
Steve Hinson, owner of Amerawear Corporation, said his
company sold t-shirts to help support the family. He said the idea for
the trucking campaign came when a Facebook friend of his called him and
said she had a dream about putting Bobo's picture on trucks traveling
across the nation.
"All it takes is one picture," Hinson said.
Wednesday marked three months since Bobo disappeared.
Her father, Dana Bobo, says he has not given up hope of finding his
daughter.
While official searches have ended, the community's
interest hasn't waned. Flyers are still stamped to Decatur County
buildings, signs of prayer and hope are still posted, and buttons,
T-shirts and looped pink ribbons are still being worn.
D'Lynn Burton, a Bobo neighbor, encouraged donations
and support at Tuesday's press conference. She and other speakers stood
below a decal picture of Bobo with little makeup on, her hair pulled up
in a ponytail.
"We just wanted her natural face and her look out there for everybody to see," Burton said.http://www.dailyjournal.net/view/story/e5746dccf7804526995506c8c25742fa/TN--Tenn-Woman-Abducted/

More than three months have passed since 20 year-old Holly Bobo went missing in West Tennessee.
The nursing student from Parsons, TN was last seen by her brother being escorted into the woods by an unknown man dressed in camouflage.
While the search continues for Holly, a local rescue crew travelled to the Bobo's home to see if they can help find any new evidence in the case.
Dave Dubin, founder of Parasearchers.com, hoped to get started searching around four o’clock Sunday in Parsons.
“I have a daughter and if my daughter were missing, I couldn't sleep or eat so I feel for her, I want to help her,” says Dubin who contacted the mom of missing Holly Bobo to offer his service.
He says through power paragliding they can get clear aerial views of the woods where Holly was last seen.
It’s a view he believes hasn't been fully utilized so far in this search because power para-gliders are unique in being able to fly low and slow.
“She's heartbroken and she's concerned that there hasn't been enough action in terms of searching,” adds Dubin

Sex offender hunt is linked to teen nursing student's abduction

PARSONS, TN
(WBTV & WMC) - Authorities have revealed that a sex offender has
gone missing and they are investigating that case in relation to the
disappearance of a nursing student in April.
Holly Bobo, 19, was seen being led away from
her home into woods. Her brother said in mid-April he saw a man with
her and authorities later found blood at the home.

Now, more than 3 months later, nearby sheriff's detectives say there is a sex offender that they can't find in the Parsons area.
The search for all sex offenders in the area
started just after Bobo disappeared – and Victor George Wall, 44, has
not turned up, according to the Decatur County Chronicle.
"Wall was one we couldn't locate, so we put out a warrant for him," Special Agent Fred Moore told the newspaper Wednesday.
As recently as 2 weeks ago, there was an
active command center in Parsons staffed with investigators tracking
down leads in the teen's disappearance in the area about 100 miles
southwest of Nashville.
With so much interest in the case, the search has not been easy for the family.
"Sundays are the hardest days because we were together, our whole
family, all day long," said Holly Bobo's mother Karen Bobo. "Usually on
Sunday we were doing things."
Holly Bobo's disappearance has made life almost unbearable for her
family. The 20-year-old nursing student disappeared in April. A
massive search with thousands of volunteers combing miles of wooded area
began almost immediately.
Details of the disappearance trickled out. Investigators said her
brother Clint Bobo saw her walking into the woods behind her family's
rural home with a man wearing camouflage from head to toe.
"He actually had an arm holding her, so we feel she knew she was in
fear of her life, so she was compliant with his commands," said John
Mehr with the TBI.
Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt said Clint Bobo was the only one at home with Holly Bobo.
"This is according to her brother that he had seen her being led into the woods," said Wyatt.
Clint Bobo thought the man he saw wearing camouflage and walking toward
the woods with his sister was her boyfriend. Investigators were
initially not clear about how long it took her brother to realize
something was wrong, but Wyatt said it did not take long.
"A very, very short time," said Wyatt.
Wyatt said Clint Bobo called his mother first. She then called 911.
Soon after, people were searching the wooded area around the Bobo
family's house.
Investigators said Clint Bobo got only a glimpse of his sister's
abductor, who he described as approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200
pounds.
Aside from some items belonging to Holly Bobo that were discovered along tree lines, Wyatt said they have found nothing.
The FBI, TBI and the Marshal's Service are still in Parsons running
down tips and leads. Wyatt said more than 100 people claiming to be
psychics have offered their expertise. He said some of them have had
some interesting information.
"You have to check those things out," said Wyatt. "You have to look at those just like you do anything else."
As the search continues, pink ribbons and flyers cover entire counties near Holly Bobo's home.
"Holly, we love you," said Karen Bobo. "We miss you so much and we'll
never give up looking for you until you are safely home."
There is an $85,000 reward for information leading to Holly Bobo's
location and the arrest of her abductor. She is 5-3 and weighs 110
pounds with blonde, shoulder length hair and blue eyes. Holly Bobo was
last seen wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans.
Anyone with information should call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
Investigators have not cleared anyone as a suspect in this case and
investigators believe whoever took Holly Bobo knew her or knew of her
and knew the area.

MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC - TV) - A fugitive sex offender who used to live in Perry County, TN, has been arrested in Minnesota.
The U.S. Marshals Service found Victor George Wall asleep in his girlfriend's home in Duluth, MN, early this morning.
The 43-year-old was convicted of molesting a child
in Washington State two decades ago. Four years ago, he moved to Perry
County, TN, not far from where Holly Bobo lived with her parent.
Bobo, who has been missing for months, was last
seen last seen being led into the woods around her house by a man
wearing camouflage.
Fred Moore, of the Perry County Sheriff's
Department, says law enforcement checks out all sex offenders in an
area where there has been an abduction like the case of Holly Bobo.
However, investigators were unable to locate Wall.
They say after moving to Perry County, he
registered as a sex offender and a few days later was arrested for joy
riding in a car he was not authorized to use. He spent 10 days in jail.
And until he was arrested this morning, he hadn't been seen since being released from jail.

Victor George Wall, 43, has been arrested and will be questioned about
20-year-old Holly Bobo's disappearance.
A fugitive sex offender wanted for questioning in the disappearance of a
nursing school beauty has been caught, police said.
Victor George Wall, 43, was convicted of molesting a child in Washington State
more than two decades ago. He was arrested Thursday at his girlfriend's home in Duluth, Minn.
Nursing student Holly Bobo, 20, went missing from her Parsons, Tenn.,
home four months ago. The 110-pound blonde was last seen being led by a
man dressed in camouflage into the woods near her home.
Tennessee authorities could not locate Wall when they began searching for
registered sex offenders as part of Bobo's investigation, according to the Jackson Sun.
Wall was found asleep and was arrested without incident. He was booked into the
St. Louis County Jail, where he waits extradition to Tennessee.
He had previously lived near Bobo's home, but vanished after a 10-day stint in jail for stealing a car.
Authorities said there is no direct evidence showing a connection between
Wall and Bobo, cousin of country music Whitney Duncan.
Since her disappearance, hundreds of volunteers have joined a massive search
to find her. But as the investigation goes into its fourth month, there have been few leads.
Karen Bobo, the young woman's mother, recently spoke out to WREG TV,
telling how she spends her days passing out flyers, searching and making phone calls.
"I struggle with getting up because Holly's not home," she said. "Until
you've been through something like that, you just could not possibly understand."

I saw a story on JVM about this case last week and I am still very suspicious of the brother. The mom, dad and brother were all interviewed and he seemed to change his story even as he was interviewed. Said he saw a man and Holly in garage, and they were looking down and he thought they were looking at a dead turkey, WTH...but when they moved nothing was no turker there......but he said he could not identify who the man was....then he said he saw them at the edge of the woods later and he thought she was with her boyfriend.....if the brother saw them in garage wouldn't he be able to identify the guy as Holly's boyfriend....brother was very weird to me

Search for Holly Bobo now a full-time job for her family

PARSONS, TN (WMC-TV) - As the search for missing nursing student Holly Bobo
continues, her family is still leading the effort to bring her home.
The search has taken its toll on the Bobo family. Just over four months
after Bobo disappeared, her family's lives have been turned upside down.
At the Bobo house, the TV never comes on. Dinner, once spent at the table
as a family, now comes as late as midnight because the search takes
priority.
"Now all I do is search for my sister," said her brother, Clint Bobo.
Once a social work student at the University of Tennessee Martin, Clint Bobo
has now taken up the search for his sister full time. The 25-year-old
is the last person known to have seen Holly Bobo as she was being led
into the woods on their property by a man in camouflage.
Instead of attending classes, Clint Bobo travels to neighboring towns and
states passing out flyers in hopes it leads to a breakthrough.
Karen Bobo, Holly Bobo's mother, was teaching at a local elementary school
when she received the call about her daughter. She has since quit after
26 years as a second grade teacher.
Authorities are still on the case and are assisted by constant updates from Karen Bobo.
"Sundays are the hardest days because we were together, our whole family, all day long on Sundays," she said.
Holly Bobo's 21st birthday is just around the corner. Her mother said she
would normally be planning her birthday featuring all her favorite food
cooked by her grandmother.
With her birthday looming close, her family said they cannot imagine Holly Bobo not being home in time to celebrate.
Karen Bobo said she knew her daughter was in trouble when she got the initial
phone call. She said Holly Bobo had a test that day and should have
already been at school.

When driving down U.S. 412, headed east from Lexington, you'll
come over a hump in the road and a little dip just before you get to
Parsons, and it is likely there will be pink bows on mailboxes or
attached to some of the cars passing by. That is a sign that you have
reached Darden.
With less than 3,000 people, Darden's residents say their size is their strength.
"Well,
this is just the greatest place to live in the world because of what we
have here," said District 72 state Rep. Steve McDaniel. "We have a
tight-knit community that is like a family. We pull together when times
get tough."
Saturday marked such a day as members of the community
came together for the third annual Darden Day festival, more than four
months after nursing student Holly Bobo went missing.
The Darden
Day festival is a celebration of everything it means to be from Darden,
which McDaniel said included an appreciation for cornbread and milk and a
lonesome feeling roamers get when they stray too far from home.
The
day was a joyous occasion, with singing that ranged from gospel to
bluegrass, blow-up slides for the kids, good country cooking and
fellowship with friends. But underlying the day's festivities was a
somber tone, caused by a missing spot at the dinner table the tight-knit
people from Darden refuse to forget.
More than four months ago,
one of their own went missing. Twenty-year-old Bobo sang solos at
Corinth Baptist Church in Darden, graduated as an honor roll student
from Scotts Hill High School and then went on to nursing school before
she was abducted on April 13. Soon after her disappearance, the
community began searching through the rain and the heat to find Darden's
missing daughter.
Around 400 people gathered on Saturday for a parade in Bobo's honor.
Chris
Young, a local pastor who served as the director of ceremonies, roused
the crowd's enthusiasm for their community after the march. Young spoke
of love, family and the importance of coming together, and after he
finished, the people of Darden released balloons with Bobo's picture and
information on them, in hopes that the balloons will reach someone who
may be able to help.
Don Franks, pastor of the church where Bobo attended, led a prayer for the day's events and for Bobo's return.
"This
has been difficult times for the family and the community, but through
faith we are pulling through," Franks said. "We have tried to support
the family in any way possible."
Dana Bobo, Holly's father, said he was not surprised by the community's actions.
"I
knew what they were going to do," he said. "We are all in it for the
long haul, and we are appreciative of their prayers. Also, we have not
given up hope, we won't and we are still expecting to bring Holly home."
Clint
Bobo, Holly's brother, said his and his family's days are still filled
with searching for clues and doing everything they can to help unearth
information.
"A lot of days, I put up fliers and just try to keep
her information out there," he said. "I would say we are closer now than
we have ever been."
Karen Bobo, Holly's mother, was also at the festival but was not available for comment Saturday afternoon.
A table was set up at the festival for people to buy T-shirts and pins with Bobo's information on them.
At
the "Kits for Kids" booth, parents picked up identity packs for their
children. The packs included fingerprinting kits and forms where parents
could fill in their child's height, weight and other information that
might prove helpful should their own child go missing, according to
Young.
Ronald Derryberry, president of the local community club, said around 5,000 people usually pass through the festival each year.

come over a hump in the road and a little dip just before you get to
Parsons, and it is likely there will be pink bows on mailboxes or
attached to some of the cars passing by.
