AMBER ALERT issued for Colorado children

An Amber Alert has been issued for two children out of Federal Heights.
Police identify the children as 11-year old Celena Romero and 7 year old Charlie Romero.
Authorities say Celena looks much older than she is.


Police say they may be with their biological mother,
Tammy Reese-Romero and her boyfriend Jacob Lake-Sahm. They want people
to look for a 1997 Maroon Mercury sedan, Colorado license plate number 618-SZM.
Charlie Romero is 4 feet 3 inches tall, about 50 pounds with blue eyes. He has blond hair shaved into a Mohawk.
They were last seen at a bus stop in Federal Heights Thursday afternoon.
Rees-Romero is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 140 pounds with hazel eyes and red, shoulder-length hair.
Lake-Sahm is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 130 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair, and a short beard.

Investigators need your help finding two missing children from the Federal Heights area.Celena
Romero and Charlie Romero disappeared from a bus stop in the 9400 block
of Elm Court around 3:30 Thursday afternoon. Agents with the Colorado
Bureau of Investigation believe the two may have been taken by their
biological mother, Tammy Rees-Romero and her boyfriend, Jacob Lake-Sahm.Celena
is 11 years old, is 5'1" tall, and has green eyes and shoulder-length
blond hair. She usually wears heavy makeup and appears to be 18-19
years old. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with jeans.Her brother, Charlie, is 7 years old, 4'3" tall, with blue eyes and a blond mohawk. Charlie is described as being very shy.The adults could be driving a 1997 maroon Mercury sedan, with the Colorado license plate 618-SZM.Both Celena and Charlie had extra clothes packed in backpacks when they went to school yesterday.When searching for the children at their mother's home, officers found .38 ammunition and moving boxes.If you have information on their whereabouts, contact your local law enforcement.

They could be traveling in a 1997 maroon Mercury Grand Marquis 4-door sedan with Colorado plate number 618-SZM.

Two children missing, may be headed to Idaho


FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. -- An Amber Alert is in effect for two children missing out of Colorado, who investigators believe could be headed to Idaho.

Police believe the children, ages seven and 11, were taken from a bus stop by their biological mother, Tammy Rees-Romero, and her boyfriend, Jacob Lake-Sahm. They are believed to be traveling in a 1997 maroon Mercury Grand Marquis four door sedan with Colorado tags with a license plate that reads: 617-SZM.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says they may be traveling to Idaho.

While attempting to find the children, officers found .38 ammunition and moving boxes at the mother's home. Police also say the children had extra clothing in their backpacks when they left for school.

Celena Romero is 11 years old. She has blond hair, green eyes, and stands about 5'1" tall. She weighs about 90 pounds and was last seen wearing a black jacket with jeans.

Charlie Romero is 7 years old. He has a blond mohawk, blue eyes, and is about 4'3" tall. He weighs about 50 pounds and was last seen wearing a Denver Broncos jacket with jeans.

The kids' mother, Tammy Rees-Romero, 35, has red hair, hazel eyes and is about 5'3" tall and 140 pounds.

Her boyfriend, Jacob Lake-Sahm, 22, has brown hair, a short beard, brown eyes, and is about 5'8" and weighs about 130 pounds.

KUSA - A 11-year old-girl and 7-year-old boy missing since Thursday night have been found safe.
Early Saturday morning the Colorado Bureau of Investigation canceled the
amber alert issued for Celena and Charlie Romero after they were found
in Kansas late Friday night.
The children's mother, 35-year-old Tammy Anne Rees-Romero, and her
boyfriend, 22-year-old Jacob Lawrence Lake-Sahm, are in police custody.

Lieutenant Gary Toldnes with the Federal Heights Police said the
children were under the care of Denver County Social Services and were
living with foster parents at the time of their disappearance.
