Casey Anthony: How soon could more rulings come?

One major ruling in the Casey Anthony case came today.
“A judge ruled the stain found in Casey’s trunk will be presented at her trial,” WFTV anchor Martie Salt said. “This is a big blow to Casey’s defense.”
Chief Judge Belvin Perry ruled the defense did not present any factual evidence to prove the stain is irrelevant, WFTV’s Kathi Belich said.
“One investigator noticed the shape of the stain resembled that of a child in the fetal position,” Belich said.
On that point, WKMG-Channel 6’s Tony Pipitone, “The defense may object, the judge may sustain that objection because it’s speculation, then just let the jury decide what it looks like and what it means.”
Orlando attorney Richard Hornsby, who provides analysis for WESH-Channel 2, said, “It makes for an obvious conclusion. You don’t need a scientist to tell them what that stain may or may not mean.”
WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said of today’s ruling: “The defense provided the best legal argument they could under the facts of this case and the science that is being offered. They had a very tough job.”
The big question: When will more rulings from Perry come? They had been expected today. That was the opening for speculation.
“Apparently, some of the harder issues are taking longer than he expected,” Pipitone said. “That’s not surprising. The state is asking him to be the first judge in the nation to let an expert testify he has some method to detect human decomposition in air, in this case from air in the trunk. He would be only the second judge to let someone testify that hair showing a dark band near the root end indicates it came from a dead body. That hair also found in the trunk of Casey’s car.”
Pipitone said he didn’t expect more rulings until Monday, because tomorrow is Good Friday.
But Perry will keep reporters and everyone else guessing. The trial will start next month. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
