RCMP ask for public's help in locating missing Fort Qu'Appelle girl

REGINA — The Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP Detachment is asking for the public's help in locating a 15-year-old missing girl.

On Sunday at 3:30 p.m., the RCMP received a report that Celeste Cappo had left her foster home in Fort Qu'Appelle.

Police believe she is in or around Regina.

Cappo is described as First Nation with brown eyes, orange and red hair with long bangs and has a scar across her left cheek. She is tomboyish and stands 5-foot-3 with a slim build.

Anyone with information about Cappo's disappearance is asked to contact the Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP at 331-6258.

Constable Alphonse Noey says the foster family has no idea where she is.
"She left a note stating she was going out somewhere and never came back," said Noey.
He says through Facebook messages they believe she is in the Regina area.

August 16, 2011 — The Prince Albert Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager.



Celeste Cappo, 16, is a ward of Social Services and was living at the Prince Albert YWCA at the time of her disappearance last month.

She has been listed on the Canadian Police Information Centre missing person list since she was reported missing on July 7. However, she is a chronic runaway and in the past she has returned prior to this amount of time going by.

“There was no immediate safety concerns for Celeste at the time due to her previous history of running away,” said city police officer Sgt. Kelly McLean.

Cappo was thought to be heading to Regina, and police in that city have been notified of the situation. They have also been looking for the teenager, but have also been unsuccessful in locating her.

Anyone with information on Cappo’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service at 953-4222.
