COLIN SCHWARTZ - 16 yo - Hamburg (near Flint) MI

A local family is asking for the public’s help in locating their son who
has been missing since Tuesday. 16-year-old Colin Schwartz was last
seen in the Moon Shadows subdivision on the way to the bus stop, which
is near his home.



Hamburg Township Police were contacted by his family
on Tuesday after they learned he did not show up for classes at Pinckney
High School. He had just gone through a breakup with his girlfriend and
it’s believed he ran away. His parents say he does not have a history
of alcohol or drug abuse and did not have his cell phone with him. His
mother Carolyn Bonifas tells WHMI that they think he may be hiding out
somewhere in the Pinckney-Hamburg area, possibly a vacant lake home or
something like that so they would appreciate it if the public could do
general area checks. Schwartz is 5-foot-11 and was last seen wearing a
dark pea coat, a button-downed white shirt and blue jeans. He was also
carrying a guitar case. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is

A Hamburg Township 16-year-old has been missing since early Tuesday.According
to Hamburg Township Police, Colin Schwartz was last seen at around 6:30
a.m. in the Moon Shadows subdivision in Hamburg Township on the way to
his bus stop, which is about a half-mile from his home. The Moon Shadows
subdivision is in southern Livingston County, just north of the
Washtenaw County border.Hamburg Township Officer Megan Paul said she believes
Schwartz ran away, but said the investigation thus far has revealed no promising leads.
Schwartz is 5-foot-11 and was wearing a dark coat, a button-down
white shirt and blue jeans when he was last seen. He was also carrying a
guitar and its case, and had $10. He did not have his cell phone.Police
were contacted Tuesday by his family after he did not return home from
Pinckney Community High School, where he is a junior. His family quickly
discovered he did not attend school Tuesday.Schwartz'
mother, Carolyn Bonifas, said her son has just gone through a breakup
with a girlfriend and had told his friends he "wanted to get away for a
few days." She said Schwartz does not have a history of alcohol or drug
abuse and said this is the first time "anything like this has ever
happened.""A few days have passed ... and we're very concerned," Bonifas said. "We hope
he's somewhere in the general Pinckney-Hamburg area."Those with any information

A Hamburg Township teen missing since last week has been found safe.
16-year-old Colin Schwartz was found shortly before 11:30am today in the
Hamburg Township area according to his mother. She says a big thanks is
owed to everyone in the community for their efforts and prayers.
Schwartz was reported missing last week after he failed to show up for
classes at Pinckney High School. He was last seen in the Moon Shadows
subdivision on the way to the bus stop, which is near his home. At the
