EDMONTON — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing girl in Vegreville.Brook Reum, 11, was last seen Saturday afternoon in her home in the 5500 block of Vegreville. Her mother stepped outside the front door momentarily, and when she returned Brooke was gone and the back door to the apartment was open.Brook has curly blond, shoulder-length hair, blue eyes and is approximately 5’3 and 165 pounds. She was last seen wearing pink and green camouflage capri pants, a blue hoodie, and running shoes.Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact the Vegreville RCMP.

Seems odd that they didn't notify police until Sunday. Even if she is a runaway, she is only an 11 year old!
RCMP in Vegreville are searching for an 11-year-old girl missing for two days.Brooke Lynne Reum was last seen in the kitchen of her apartment unit around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.Her mother stepped out the front door for a few minutes, said Const. Dave Hopkins. When she returned the girl was gone.The back door of the apartment was left open.Hopkins said the girl may have run away."There is no sign of forced entry into the house," he said. "She did, it looks like at this point, leave on her own free will."Hopkins said the girl's mother and a friend searched through the night, checking with friends and relatives. The girl was reported missing to police Sunday morning.Brooke Lynne is described as 165 pounds, about 5'3 with curly blond shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing pink and green camouflage capri pants, a blue hoodie sweater and running shoes. She was not wearing a jacket.
