It’s Friday the 13th and a handful of jurors will most likely walk away with a good case of triskaidekaphobia by the time they each get out of the hot seat grilling of the voir dire process in jury selection for Casey Anthony’s murder trial. Yesterday I think they managed to get through 4 potential jurors for the entire day.

On Wednesday, after a long day in the Pinellas county court room, Judge Perry managed to get the hardship phase of the jury selection process completed resulting in 70 potential jurors to call back for the actual voir dire process. That began yesterday morning. Ann Finnell participated in questioning each potential juror. During her questioning the defense’s mitigation strategy morphed from a faint foreshadowing of disparate intimations to a full-body apparition of throwing Casey’s entire family under the bus. Watch out Lee, George and Cindy, that dark hooded figure is coming to a door near you.
