About 50 daily seating passes will be distributed to the public each day during the trial expected to last 6 to 8 weeks.

The Casey Anthony trial is expected to last six to eight weeks at the Orange County Courthouse, and many will want to take part. Though court proceedings are open to the public, access will be limited, and restrictions have been put in place to ensure safety and security. Here's what you need to know if you plan on attending:

Seating passes

Every morning during the trial, court officials will hand out seating passes on a first-come, first-served basis to people lined up on the north side of the courthouse, according to Karen Levey, spokeswoman for the 9th Judicial Circuit. People interested in attending the trial can begin lining up at 5:30 a.m.

Each free pass is dated and assigned a seat number. Security measures have been put in place to prevent the passes from being reproduced.
