Judge hopes to seat jury Wednesday

By Drew Petrimoulx

The judge in the first degree murder trial of Casey Anthony will try again Wednesday to lock in 12 jurors.

So far lawyers have used challenges to eliminate several potential jurors, but those challenges are now running low.

Two times Tuesday Judge Belvin Perry landed a 12th juror and moved to swear in the panel, and both times the defense stood up at the last second to use one of its premptory strikes to eliminate someone from the pool.

Now both the state and the defense have just a handful of challenges left. Perry will be looking to seat a jury by the end of the day. Then the search will begin for alternates.
