Judge plans to swear jury in on Friday

We're getting closer to finally seating a jury for the murder trial of Casey Anthony.

For nearly two weeks Judge Belvin Perry has been working to find a panel of jurors for what is expected to be a six to eight week trial.

Judge Perry announced on Thursday that he will swear in his panel of jurors on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.

“Maybe swearing in them all in or maybe swearing in the twelve,” Perry said. “I don’t know right now”

As of this afternoon, the pool of qualified jurors sits at 16 but lawyers still have a total of four challenges remaining.

Judge Perry will continue working tomorrow morning to add to the jury pool before he swears in 12 jurors and a still undetermined number of alternates.

The trial is scheduled to on Monday in Orlando.
