AUSTELL, Ga. -- Police in Georgia are searching for a woman and her newborn baby, both of whom have not been seen since Saturday afternoon.Cobb
County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Sunday that 27-year-old Holly
Daenette Parker-Heard and the infant were last seen at the Austell Inn
and Suites.Pierce says investigators believe the woman gave birth inside the hotel room Saturday. Fresh blood apparently from the birth was found on bedsheets and the mattress, which led hotel workers to call police. However, there were no signs of foul play.
The primary concern for police is that the woman and her baby have
not gotten proper medical care since the child was born. Pierce says it
is not clear who may have been with Parker-Heard at the hotel.

I wondered too. The article above said that she and her baby were last seen at the hotel, so someone else saw the baby there. It gives us hope anywayTomTerrific0420 wrote:---I thought the same thing?! The Midwife is accused of kidnapping
Police in Georgia say a woman who disappeared shortly after giving birth at a hotel has been found safe.
Authorities in Cobb County say Holly Parker-Heard and her newborn, who had been missing since Saturday, were not hurt.
They say a midwife who was present at the birth is in
custody in Carroll County. Police say they're searching for a man
identified as Christian Turner, and that both are charged with
kidnapping and cruelty to children.
Cobb County Police spokesman Dana Pierce says the infant, who was with the midwife, was doing well at a hospital.
Police say the 27-year-old Parker-Heard disappeared from a hotel near Six Flags Over Georgia.
They say the mother texted a photo of the infant to family members before she disappeared.

The search for a newborn baby ended in Carrollton on Sunday. The
woman who delivered the baby girl and her male friend are charged with
Kidnapping and Cruelty to Children.
Cobb County police were led to a home on Cedar Drive in Carrollton
where neighbors reported seeing a newborn baby. That's where Rebecca
Mclarty, 39, of Mableton, was taken into custody and the baby girl was
found safe.
The male suspect was originally identified as Christian Turner, 39,
of Mableton. At around 630PM Monday, he was arrested by the Cobb County
Fugitive Squad and Carroll County Sheriff deputies as he walked out of
the woods near the home.
Police say Christian Turner was a false name and they have identified him as Scott Allen McDaniel, age 42.Stephanie Turner, who lives next door to the home, said Rebecca
Mclarty told her the mother of the baby, Holly Daenette Parker-Heard,
27, agreed to give her the baby. "She didn't want the baby she was
carrying," Turner said.
Police said Parker-Heard gave birth to the baby in a hotel room at
the Austell Inn and Suites on Riverside Parkway Friday. She told police
Mclarty was the midwife.
Police located Parker-Heard at an undisclosed location in Cobb County
Saturday. She told police she was taken to a residence in Mableton by
the midwife and a friend after giving birth.
Police later learned from a tip that the infant could be found at the
residence on Cedar Drive in Carrollton. That's where Mclarty and the
baby were found early Sunday morning. The neighbor said Mclarty and
Turner took good care of the baby. "They had bought her clothes, had
diapers and formula for her, had a car seat and she was really well
taken care of," Turner said.
Mclarty faced a Magistrate judge for a first appearance hearing at the Cobb County jail Monday night.
Turner said Mclarty agreed to take the baby from Parker-Heard because
she was having problems. "She had said that she was going to take care
of the child until her mother could," Turner said.
Parker-Heard was taken to WellStar South Cobb Hospital where she was examined. She was uninjured, according to Sgt. Dana Pierce.
"The infant was taken to a local hospital in Carrollton and is described as doing well," Pierce said.http://www.11alive.com/news/article/192643/40/Midwife-told-friend-mother-gave-her-baby-willfully
